Andreas Pereira Reveals Why He Has Everything Going This Season In Order To Become The Next Big Thing At United

Manchester United midfielder Andreas Pereira has lately been speaking about his relationship with manager Jose Mourinho and how its helping him succeed. Pereira has admitted that he is relying on the boss to make him a winner at United.

The midfielder impressed in his full Premier League debut last week. The 22 year-old, who spent the last two seasons out on loan, believes now is his time to kick on at United and that Mourinho is the right man to help him do that. Pereira told MUTV:

“We rely on him because he always prepares the team well. He knows what to do.”

“He is a winner and he always wants to win, so because he is like that we turn into that and we want to be like him, so we turn into winners as well so its very important.

Ït was very important for me, the two loans. I think I’ve totally changed after the two loans-I’m more mature, playing like an adult. I think i really grew up into football over there.

I think they really helped me and I think if i stayed here I wouldn’t have had the progression that I had when i went on loan, so i think it helped me a lot.”

The midfielder earned his first Brazil call-up having impressed for united on pre-season tour and in the opening game of the new campaign but he explained to the club’s website that he would not have been able to progress had he not pushed for a loan move to La Liga last season.

The Brazilian rose through the ranks at United after signing for the U18 side from PSV. He then went to Granada in La Liga for a season long loan and impressed there, Mourinho wanted to keep him after good showings for Granada and during the pre season but the 22 year-old pushed for another loan move to La Liga but this time for Valencia.

Pereira featured a total of 29 times for Valencia and put in fantastic performances as Valencia finished 4th in the league just 3 points behind Real Madrid. For Granada he usually played as a no.10 just behind the striker and for Valencia he played on either flank of a 4 man flat midfield.

Pereira has started both the league games for United and put in solid performances in both. While the first game against Leicester was won, the second against Brighton ended in a disappointing 3-2 loss. Mourinho played him as a defensive midfielder in both games and he has shown the quality to adapt quickly as he usually like to play as a no.10.

As shown during his loan spells in Spain, he can dribble past opponents at speed and has a good eye for crosses. His past couple of performances show that he has as many defensive qualities as attacking if not more which makes him more versatile and an all over better midfielder.

Andreas Pereira has everything going for him at the moment. He is just 22 years old, the gaffer likes him, he is a hard worker, the list can go on and on but his most attractive quality is his desire to play and give everything for the team, a mentality that is essential for any top player. I can see Pereira becoming one of the best midfielders in the world.
