This Is The Line-up Arsenal Are Going To Start With against Vorksla Poltova in first Europa League fixture

Vorskla, Arsedevils

Arsenal are set to face a fixture congestion in September, right after the International break. Starting with an away game against Newcastle United on Saturday evening, Gunners will host Ukrainian side FC Vorskla Poltava in next fixture at Emirates Stadium on Thursday evening, their first Europa League fixture.

This kind of hectic schedule may lead Unai Emery to explore depth in the first team. He will be thinking to give some playing minutes to backup players and some highly rated youngsters in Europa League fixtures.

Goalkeeper – Bernd Leno

The most anticipated name from the Gunners squad in Europa League will be Bernd Leno. Leno hasn’t started a single game since joining Arsenal from Bayer Leverkusen in summer transfer window for a reported fee of £22m.

Leno for Europa League Fixtures

Though Unai Emery trusts Petr Cech more than the German for the Premier League fixtures, Leno can be given a chance to prove.

Right Back – Stephan Lichtsteiner

The powerful fullback with loads of experience in UEFA competitions has featured only once as a substitute in the opening Premier League fixture for Arsenal.

With first choice right back Hector Bellerin is almost certain to start against Newcastle United on Sunday evening, Lichtsteiner may start in Europa League.

Centre Back – Rob Holding

Rob Holding holds a lot of potential but there has been visible ups and downs in his tenure at North London Club.

22 years old England International hasn’t appeared for Arsenal in this current season. However, Arsenal’s fixture congestion may give him a chance to get his game time back.

Centre Back – Konstantinos Mavropanos

Highly rated tall Greek defender Konstantinos Mavropanos signed by chief scout Sven Mislintat in January should start against FC Vorskla.

His physical presence and height may come in handy for Arsenal defense as Unai Emery may look not to get any of the first team centre backs injured by playing them 3 times within 8 days.

Left Back – Nacho Monreal

No other option left in this position with Maitland-Niles and Sead Kolašinać out injured at the moment for London giants.

Spanish left back may need to play 3 times in 8 days, unless the Gaffer tweaks the situation by playing Bellerin at right back and Lichtsteiner at left back.

Central Midfielder – Mohamed Elneny

The Egyptian midfielder who scored for the Pharoahs against Niger in African Cup of Nations Qualification round, yet to appear for Arsenal this term.

Elneny should be starting in Europa League matches as his experience from last season will benefit for Arsenal midfield against the minnows.

Central Midfielder – Granit Xhaka

Having received a yellow card in the previous EPL game against Cardiff city, Xhaka needs to start next midweek and should be rested this weekend.

A booking on Saturday may hand a match ban to the Swiss international and force him to sit out against Everton following weekend at the Emirates Stadium.

Central Attacking Midfielder – Aaron Ramsey

Welsh wizard Aaron Ramsey hardly runs out of steam and comes in handy in pressing game which is Emery’s way of playing football.

Ramsey can be deployed in central attacking midfield role who presses high up on the pitch, Emery tried to do same against Manchester City.

Right Wing – Mesut Özil

This may come as a surprise to many, but the German playmaker needs to get his confidence back as soon as possible and these fixtures will provide more game time for ace.

Ozil has recently retired from National duty and is under lot of pressure to perform with full ability.

Left Wing – Alex Iwobi

There is no better option on left wing than Iwobi after his performance against Chelsea couple of weeks ago.

With Aubameyang playing very well on left side in Premier League, Alex Iwobi who scored 1 and assisted 1 goal so far this season needs to start.

Striker – Danny Welbeck

Former Manchester United striker scored 3 goals in 10 appearance in Europa League last term. Danny Welbeck came on as a substitute against West Ham and sealed the first victory of the season for the Gunners..

Welbeck for Europa League Fixture

With Aubameyang and Lacazette fighting for the place upfront, Welbeck can used well in Europa League fixtures by Unai Emery.
