The Gunners are on a descent run of games during the last few weeks which included a draw at Stamford Bridge and a couple of convincing wins over West Brom and Bournemouth in the League and will need to maintain that ahead of the international break.

This is the first league meeting between Brighton and Arsenal since February 1983 and the Seagulls are still adjusting to the rigours of the top-flight.

Last meeting between the two was in a 3-2 meeting in the FA Cup in the 2014/2015 season.

Koscielny is a doubt with his recurring achilles problem and will undergoe a late scan to determine his availability. Probably best to provide him a breather instead of pressuring him to play. Hes a starter for the French National team and their manager will not show him the respite that he needs so best to rest him out of this one.

According to the manager Saed Kolasinac had a little problem but it was too little a problem for him and he will be in the squad today after being given the nod.
