Lucas Torreira to Arsenal, Lucas Torreira from Sampdoria to Arsenal, Torreira

CONFIRMED VIA [BBC] : Medical ongoing followed by Presentation and Signing | Lucas Torreira to complete his move today

Confirmed reports right now reveal that Uruguayan midfielder Lucas Torreira is in the club as of this moment to undergo medical ahead of his widely anticipated move to Arsenal. Previously the gunners were said to have agreed to a £26.4million fee with Sampdoria for Torreira shortly before the start of the World Cup and even had their medicals scheduled during the tournament only to have it postponed at the request of the player itself. The move from Sampdoria to Arsenal had basically been confirmed by Torreira’s father himself during the world cup where he was quoted speaking about what a difficult move this could be for his son with him having to adjust to a new life, new culture, new language and everything. Now it seems that after Uruguay’s elimination at the hands of France in the quarter finals, Torreira is all set to complete his move to Arsenal by flying out to London rather than head back to Uruguay with his team mates.  Speaking from the airport prior to his flight to London, Torreira spoke to Telenoche about his regret at not being able to travel with the rest of the squad back to Montevido and his reasons behind it.
‘I would have been very happy to be able to return to Uruguay with my teammates, but this is a fantastic opportunity [to join Arsenal] and I do not want to waste it.’
And Now BBC Reporter whose reports are widely acclaimed as the divine truth has informed via his twitter handle about the scenario of a double medical being scheduled at the club for today with both Lucas Torreira being present and also Matteo Guendouzi.  Matteo Guendouzi is a 19 year old Defensive Midfielder who deal came right out of nowhere just last night and more details on his sudden incoming will be revealed quite soon. For now all we know is that even though both the players are positionally same, Lucas seems to be one for the immediate present and part of the Unai Emery project whereas Matteo is in the mould of Yacine Adli a similar player whose deal was almost close to completion before making an 11th hour switch back to PSG.  It will likely mean a departure on loan for Joe Willock who needs regular involvement and playing time to continue his development something which seems very likely now with the competition for places now.  A high potential player earmarked for the immediate future and probably scouted intensively by Sven Mislintat. Also this reportedly brings our first team aquisition to a close for this transfer window. Now all that remains is an official confirmation by club and a couple of my dream club interviews.  Right Stay Tuned for more right here at ArseDevils.com
