These are the Three European Power Houses That Could Possibly Become Juan Mata’s Next Likely Destination

Juan Mata

Manchester United are certainly in the market for potential transfer deals as the January transfer window continues to see United linked with the hottest and most promising prospects out there.

Earlier in the new year there were rumours regarding Juan Mata’s exit at the club. This was mentioned when potential replacements for the ageing Spaniard where being touted by various news outlets.

However, here we attempt to take a look at the various potential destinations for Juan Mata, where he could be heading off to should his contract expire at the end of the season, rather than figuring out his replacement as we continue to monitor the transfer dealing around the winter season. On this note we evaluate three clubs that could be an ideal destination for Spanish midfielder Juan Mata.

FC Barcelona (Spain)

Earlier in the New Year as mentioned previously in this write-up United playmaker was linked to the Spanish capitals as regards to suggestions/updates from the media.

It was stated that Brazil’s playmaker Coutinho would be an ideal/surprise replacement for the Spaniard as the news was astonishing to many.

The former Liverpool star (Coutinho) is more settled at his club (FC Barcelona) than Juan Mata at Manchester United but with cash given to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as regards to his positive performance any player could be used in a partly exchange in a possible cash plus swap deal between the clubs.

AC Milan (Italy)

The Rosseneri as the Italian giants are fondly called would welcome the addition of star forward Juan Mata to their side as they continue to push for Champions League places in the Serie A Standings.

This looks specially likely as United Juan Mata would certainly look forward to the idea of working together with his compatriot and Milan star Suso. The former Liverpool star has grown in leaves at the club and it remains to be seen what their partnership would bring to AC Milan if this become a reality – All said and done Mata remains United Player irrespective of certain transfer deliberations as the season continues to unfold.

Arsenal (England)

The deal to bring Mata to United could be possible depending largely on how rationally and logically both these clubs can work together to strike the right chord.

With Mesut Ozil transfer alarms making the rounds at Arsenal, both players could be used as an exchange just like both clubs did in the January transfer last year.

However as absurd as that may sound, Arsenal could actually look forward to offloading a player with such massive wage bills as his and that in turn could enable them to sustainably make fresh signings that Emery can actually use.

Arsenal have been linked with Juan Mata in the past and a deal could prove probable as the case may be.

If not now then Arsenal will later on most likely look to make a move for a player of his calibre should he turn a free agent at the end of the season. For United faithfuls it certainly would be a massive shame to see a player like him walk out for free and that too to a rival club.
