Further Details on Koscielny’s injury vs Watford FC

Laurent Koscielny injury update

After having lost to Watford in injury time in a miserable fashion, it had seemed like the night had further misery in store for them when both Welback and Koscielny had to substituted off due to their respective injury scares.

Per Mertesacker had headed the Gunners ahead with his first league goal in 1400 days, only for a ‘scandalous’ Troy Deeney penalty to bring Watford level.

With barely a minute to go Watford then went on to historically snatch an injury time winner against Arsenal, their first win over us in 30 years with a clinical finish as Granit Xhaka watched on from behind without making any attempt to move or mark and unmarked Watford player in our penalty area.

Such was the classless manner of Arsenals loss and lack of leadership in the field that Watford captain Troy Deeney later on went on Live television to describe how Arsenal lacked the cojones to win and how their nonchalant attitude to missing chances went on to cost them the match.

If that wasn’t enough there were further deep inhibitions about either Welback or Koscielny suffering long term damages after being substituted against Watford.

Speaking after the match against Watford Wenger had gone on to confirm their injury but was unable to specify the extent of their injuries saying :

[perfectpullquote align=”full” cite=”” link=”” color=”” class=”” size=””] “It looks to be a hamstring with Welbeck,” Wenger said. [spacer height=”30px”] “I don’t really know because everybody is shocked in the dressing room [about the result]. It looks a muscular problem. [spacer height=”30px”] “Koscielny is a muscular problem as well.” [/perfectpullquote]

However now according to Ben Dinnery who is quite reliable when it comes to first hand information on footballing injuries in the EPL, fears that he may have been sidelined for a long time are an overreaction.

[spacer height=”30px”]

Here is what Dinnery had to say about Koscielny’s injury against Watford :

Arsenal meanwhile next face Red Star Belgrade away from home in the Europa League on thurdays where we will feature our glorious first team players who are unable to secure minutes in the Premier league and have an intention of kicking out the other players out of the first team in the League.

[spacer height=”30px”]

Theres also the magnanimous chance that Jack Wilshere might even snap his ankle or foot in this match god forbid. Koscielny meanwhile will not feature in this match for sure and instead Holding, Chambers and Pertesacker will look to prove themselves in these European fixtures.

According to this report he should however be available to travel to Goodison Park on Sunday .

Till then
