These are the three Incredible Defender that Manchester United Should really be Signing at all Costs !!

Crystal Palace,defender

Manchester United enjoyed a very good last season, the best after Sir Alex Ferguson’s retired as their coach. Jose Mourinho has a brought a sense of calm in the camp and also has brought a positive vibe among the fans.[spacer height=”30px”]

Mourinho whose team is known for the defensive structure and play of play needs to add to the defensive unit. during the close season despite already having added Diogo Dalot to their squad. Phil Jones is injury prone and Smalling always has that tendency to do an odd mistake here and there during a game which clearly needs to be ironed out from his if he wishes to feature for Untied at all.[spacer height=”30px”]

[spacer height=”30px”]Moreover Luke Shaw is not preferred by the gaffer and Ashley Young is getting old despite his form. An injury free Eric Bailly would be a great fit to any team in the world just because of his pace, stamina, strength and desire but getting him injury free has indeed proved quite difficult so far.[spacer height=”30px”]

Hence we look at some of the Brilliant defenders Manchester United should be looking to add after the recent developments.[spacer height=”30px”]

  1. Toby Alderweireld[spacer height=”30px”]

Toby Alderweireld is a very hot property as a defender in England despite not having one of the best seasons of his life. He was a crucial part for the Tottenham team in a successful year for them but persistent injury problems and the rise of Sanchez kept his appearances constricted to quite an extent.[spacer height=”30px”]

He was also part of the Belgium team who were hoping to win the 2018 FIFA World Cup after having made it to the Semis Finals. He has played 360 minutes for his national side in the tournament as the primary defender and has also an assist to his name so far.[spacer height=”30px”]

The 29 year old has a commanding presence in the box and also reads the game well. He averaged almost 4 clearences and 1.3 averages per game for the English side. He will be a very good addition to the Manchester United side and best part is that he has just an year on his contract which is bound to make the Club more inclined in listening to offers for the Belgium Defender.[spacer height=”30px”]

[spacer height=”30px”]Tottenham want £60m for the Belgium Defender but United are hoping to pay around the £50m mark or possibly less given that come next season he could be signed for as little as £25m next summer if he doesn’t agree a new deal till then according to a clause in his deal.[spacer height=”30px”]

United have the money to get this deal over the line and going by recent reports its indeed possible that we might see him in an United shirt pretty soon now that Belgium are out of the Fifa World Cup.[spacer height=”30px”]

  1. Harry Maguire[spacer height=”30px”]

Harry Maguire is a relatively young defender and injury free player. He played in every minute of the 2017-18 season for Leicester City and won the player of the season as well as the players’ player of the season awards. He has won 3.5 arial duels, 1.6 tackles and almost 4.5 clearances per game for the Foxes and has been in fantastic form of late as a defender for both club and country.[spacer height=”30px”]

The 25 year young defender is having a great world cup having scored and assisted once. Maguire has been rock solid for England and he will need to keep up his game if they are to win the tournament. If he does indeed join United then the pairing of Maguire-Bailly would be an incredibly solid and astute one with David De Gea as the No.1 right behind them.[spacer height=”30px”]

[spacer height=”30px”]Harry Maguire’s rise to the top has been nothing short of phenomenal and mentally that is exactly what winners are made up of and right what this team needs. Motivated hard working individuals to inspire the rest right when the going gets tough and Maguire after this years world Cup experience behind him is indeed one of biggest discoveries of the World cup and will surely be a huge asset to the team if he does indeed join.[spacer height=”30px”]

  1. Jerome Boateng[spacer height=”30px”]

Jerome Boateng is an experienced defender having won the 2014 FIFA World Cup. He has made a name for himself establishing as the first choice centre back for both his club and country. He made switch to the German club Bayern Munich in 2011 and has since cemented his place and has played alongside the greats like Bastian Schweinsteiger and Philipp Lahm.[spacer height=”30px”]

He is currently coming off a good season and has expressed his desire to move out of Germany and play in some other country. He is has averaged 1 interceptions and 2.6 clearances per game in the past season.[spacer height=”30px”]

Manchester United would be a great team for Boateng as he will be able to lead them from the back and will also compete on all fronts and certainly provide just what they have been lacking the last few seasons, World class defender and leaders to bring out the best in the rest of the squad.[spacer height=”30px”]
