Injury Update: Ibrahimovic and Pogba Could Return For Newcastle Clash

According to sources in England, good news springs up for Manchester United as Pogba and Ibrahimovic could make their comeback sooner than expected.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been out of action since April due to a double knee injury he suffered in the Europa League win over Anderlecht.

The Swedish striker succumbed to a ligament-knee injury which nearly finished his career but the officials at Manchester United are amazed at his recovery.

Meanwhile, Paul Pogba was withdrawn from the Champions League win over FC Basel with only 19 minutes into the match. Pogba suffered a hamstring injury which has kept him out of action since September.

But the Red Devils received a sudden boost with news sources claiming the return of both Pogba and Ibrahimovic to first team football.

According to the news outlet Manchester Evening News, Ibrahimovic is on the brink of return to first team action much sooner than expected.

The veteran striker  in on the verge of a return to boost United’s title challenge after being off the field for nearly seven months.

According to Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho, Ibrahimovic’s return is fueled by anger and his eagerness to be on the field.

When asked about the Swede, Jose Mourinho told:

Just before the international break, ESPN suggested that Pogba might return to first team action after the international break.

Pogba has been providing updates by posting video clips on social media of his training and rehabilitation from the hamstring injury.

However, news from Metro claim that Ibrahimovic and Pogba are pushing for a place in the squad for the Premier League game against Newcastle United.

The return of both the players would be a great boost for the Red Devils with Manchester City being 8 points ahead of the United.
