Next week we return to the UEFA Champions League and eyes will be on Old Trafford as Manchester United take on CSKA Moscow in the final game of the group stages.
Having been beaten by spirited Basel team in Switzerland in the last game The Red Devils need to get a result to progress to the next stage.
With such a laboured performance in the group stages, many sceptics are already discounting the chances to get further than the Last 16 or Quarter Final stages. Fans shouldn’t be fearful of the next games because Manchester United have proved time and time again that they can win when the pressure is on.
We look at some of the reasons why Manchester United can win the Champions League considering many pundits don’t feel the same way.
The Manager: Jose Mourinho
The Manchester United Manager has successfully won the competition with both Porto of Portugal and Internazionale of Milan with arguably lesser squads than the current squad on offer.
With so much experience in the knockout stages of the competition Manchester United are in a great position to go on and win in Kiev, Ukraine next summer.
Experience and Strength of Current Team of Manchester United
Whilst PSG, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Manchester City are favourites to win the tournament when there is analysis of the current team then we have a strong chance.
With the return of striker Zlatan, midfielder Paul Pogba and defender Marcus Rojo
the team has come on good form beating Watford 4-2 in the Premier League on the last outing.
Man United have one of the best squads in the world and on paper we have an amazing chance to progress.
Whilst the group stages have stalled recently, the team won the first 4 games meaning that when ready and fit the team can perform.
Remember we have improved from last year and we won the Europa League in Stockholm with relative ease. We are currently second in the Premier League and whilst behind Manchester City we have slowly been keeping the pressure on.
Home of Old Trafford
All Manchester United fans know that when there is a European match at Old Trafford there is an amazing atmosphere.
Whilst quiet for most other matches the fans make sure that the roof is raised when a European night is on.
Manchester United have won the Champions League twice in the past 20 years and a major factor is the fans when teams visit old Trafford. FanSeats.co.uk

Will Manchester United be in Kiev for the Champions League final come May?
We are not certain; however, we believe they have a great chance if they play well and improve from the last few performances.
Having said this, we need to get a result at Old Trafford to be in the pot for when the Champions League draw
is made. We will not facing any English Teams and any group team opponents so Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur and Basel are not on our radar, just yet.
Can you imagine a game against Liverpool or Manchester City in the Champions League?
As fans, let’s hope for the best for the Red Devils.
Cheers to Manchester United…….GGMU!!!
