Matty Willock joined Manchester United in 2012. Soon after joining, Willock established himself as a regular for the U-18s.

Matty also impressed with the U-21 squad to help them win the title in back-to-back seasons. He then stepped up to the reserves.

Willock is yet to make a first team appearance the Red Devils. But practiced with the first team during during the end of last season.

He was on the bench for the Reds against West Bromwich Albion in April and Crystal Place in May.

According to reports on the official Manchester United website, Matty Willock has completed his move to Stadion Galgenwaard on a season-long loan.

[spacer height=”30px”]

Willock was in Holland to complete his move as per the reports by the Daily Mail.

[spacer height=”30px”]

FC Utretch was supposed to complete the transfer last week but stalled it to reassess the options in hand after their defeat to Zenit Saint Petersburg in the Europa League playoff round.

[spacer height=”30px”]

FC Utretch had many options but Willock ruled over all other potential candidates amid doubts over the future of Yassin Ayoub as claimed by Dutch publication De Telegraaf.

[spacer height=”20px”]

Willock, whose brother Chris Willock joined Benfica from Arsenal this summer, trained with United’s first team at Carrington last season after impressing for the U23s.

[spacer height=”20px”]

But the heightened competition for places in the United first team due to the addition of some world class players in the squad means his best chance for competitive action in a first team is to go loan.

[spacer height=”20px”]

Mourinho has more options in midfield this season after the addition of Nemanja Matic to the squad. So, it was really very difficult for the young player to break into the squad.

[spacer height=”20px”]

This was the first early deadline day exit away from Old Trafford.

We wish Matty for a very successful season at the club. We hope that Willock has a great 2017-2018 campaign at the Eredivisie club.
