Oliver Giroud to join Chelsea for £18m but there is a huge twist in the Aubameyang Transfer Saga

Chelsea are set to secure the £18million signing of Olivier Giroud following significant and lengthy discussion with Arsenal that will also see Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s move from Dortmund to the Emirates get the green signal.

Chelsea for their part are hell bent of securing the services of a target man and have been linked all season with the likes of Andy Carrol, Edin Dzeko, Ashley Barnes and even Peter Crouch and however have seem to have found their man in Arsenal’s very own Olivier Giroud.

[spacer height=”30px”]

As previously reported, Arsenal have a deal agreed in principle with Borussia Dortmund for star striker Pierre Emerick Aubameyang with the deal waiting to be signed off only with the condition that Dortmund have a replacement secured before the close of the window.

[spacer height=”30px”]

The man they have in their mind is Michy Batshuayi and talks about a loan move have progressed well. However that deal also hinges on Arsenal releasing their very own Puskas winner Olivier Giroud to Chelsea in order to pave the way for Michy to move to Chelsea and thus Arsenal getting their man.

Quite a transfer merry go round and now it seems all of these will finally be drawing to a close with reports about an agreement coming out from England stating the deal is agreed BUT it might all breakdown very soon.

[spacer height=”30px”]

Quite an incredible state of affairs but sadly that is what is happening. According to the hugely relied journalist in english press when it comes to Arsenal news,BBC reporter David Ornstein is now reporting that the deal with Chelsea is drawing out because Chelsea via some arrogant punk are trying to drive down the price of Oliver Giroud which had been previously agreed.

[spacer height=”30px”]

Infact so frustrated are Arsenal that they have threatened to break off talks with Chelsea and instead send him on loan to Borussia Dortmund as was previously agreed between the two clubs. This also could however not happen as Olivier’s wife is said to have been hugely reluctant about shifting and would indeed prefer to stay in London something the Blues seem to be aware of given their hard stance.

Well is this case a few things can happen. First is the scenario that Giroud does indeed move to Chelsea this season given that Arsenal are inclined to losing him, I doubt they will hanker much over the prices as they have recently shown how cheaply then can sell their players.

[spacer height=”30px”]

Secondly Giroud can be off to Dortmund on loan as a direct replacement and Michy stays where he is. This for me seems likely but if Arsenal are really frustrated then Giroud might be willing to move on given that there is a World cup in the horizon and he has only started just once so far this season.

This for me would be very favorable as I am being torn by the prospect of seeing Olivier in an Chelsea shirt. Olivier is a very loyal and extraordinary player who has been brilliant for us over the years and seeing him go off is painful as it is but its all the more excruciatingly painful if that has to be to Stamford Bridge.

[spacer height=”30px”]

Then there is the third scenario which is highly unlikely and improbable which is that Giroud does stay at Arsenal and becomes our wonderfully amazing super-sub and Dortmund in that case go after Anthony Modeste of China who had previously played under the Dortmund coach as FC Koln.

Lets hope it all goes well and we get some clarity soon on what is happening and what is not.

Till then COYG !!!!
