According to the fresh reports stemming out from Germany, Jose Mourinho could sign another striker if he chooses to, and it could be huge for United.
If BILD sources are to be believed, Manchester United have a chance to sign, Bayern Munich’s star striker, Robert Lewandowski.
German publication, The Bild, claims that Lewandowski’s agent, Pini Zahavi, had offered the services of his client to PSG, Chelsea and Manchester United, but the player himself is holding on for an offer from European Champions, Real Madrid.
Although Bayern have allowed Lewandowski to leave, they are unwilling to hear an offer below the likes of £175 million. Quite extraordinary for a player almost 30 isn’t it.
Lewandowski has been with Bayern Munich since 2010, and has been part of their league winning team for the past four seasons.

He has also been the top scorer in Bundesliga for 3 seasons only being inched out by Pierre Emerick Aubameyang last to last season.
It has been noted that Mourinho has been a great admirer of his game, and even texted him that he would want to work with him at any club, after he scored four goals against Real Madrid, for Borussia Dortmund five years ago.
The addition of Lewandowski could not come at a better time for United.

Moreover having made his stance clear on finally leaving the country of Germany, the prospect of playing in the best League in the country while being challenged by the very best players in the world will surely prove to be tempting for the Polish hitman who is first an foremost a fiery competitor if nothing else.
Aubameyang can prove testimony to that with their annual battle for the golden boot in the league quite famous and often stretching down to the last tie of the league.
For a club like United the price of any player unless they are Messi or Ronaldo will never prove to be a determent and all it depends on is the Player himself.
One thing for sure is that having strikers like Lukaku, Sanchez and Lewandowski up top more or less guarantees you the league and that is what United probably need right now, huge name signings to essentially guarantee the league because its been far too long since the famous red ribbon has donned the League trophy.
If the rumours eventually become reality or not is yet to be seen. For now The decision is up to the boss and the player, and as fans, one can just wait and see, what could transpire in the next couple of months in what is already a hugely crazy and frantic transfer window with United having already completed two big name signing and on a market for quite a few more.
