Three Obvious Reasons Why Top Premier League Sides Should Be Wary Of Solskjaer Manchester United.

Neville, Ole, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

New manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer guided Manchester United to 5-1 win over Cardiff City on last Saturday in his debut match as a manager and that has raised eyebrows in the Premier League for many reasons. This cannot be over emphasized goals from Marcus Rashford, Jesse Lingard(2) and second half strikes from Jesse Lingard put Ole Gunner Solskjaer and the Red Devils under the spotlight.

This looked more of like a Sir Alex Ferguson’s United side as they scored some stunning goals in the space of 90 minutes. With this win we evaluate three cogent reasons why Manchester City and other league leaders should be wary of Solskjaer and his team as the season continues to unfold in the days ahead.

United’s Work Ethics

Manchester United was exceptional in their play against Cardiff as they scored five times in the match. This was evident as the Red Devils have combined pretty well in transition to set up the third goal.

The free flowing movement and work ethics shown in the build up to the goal was very much commendable. This made the job easy for Anthony Martial in the box as the striker finished with aplomb to restore United’s two goals lead.

Pogba’s Midfield Renaissance

The Frenchman had been a subject of discussion wider Jose Mourinho as his performance was below the club expectations. However, with recent appointment of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Manchester United, things seems to have changed for the good.

The player stormed into life against Cardiff City as Pogba’s contribution was exemplary on the pitch. Pogba was involved in most of the goals for his side as he set up Ander Herrera for the second.

The ease with which he put through Jesse Lingard in the final third was delightful as he bossed midfield proceedings in the 5 -1 away win.

New lease of confidence

United’s win over Cardiff might have got Ole Gunnar Solskjaer off to a perfect start at the club. However, this performance would go a long way in stimulating the memories of the United side under the legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson.

The player’s showings on the pitch will be an awakening for other top sides in the Premier League as they saw a different Red Devils side on Saturday. This leaves the players and the club hemisphere with a positive euphoria as they welcomes Huddersfield town on boxing day fixture.
