Arsenal have reportedly signed French wonderkid Yacine Adli from PSG. The 17 year old midfielder rejected a professional contract offered by Les Parisiens to join the Gunners while the latter had to pay a compensation fee to get him on board.
One of the hottest properties in French football, Yacine has represented France at U-16,U-17 and U-18 level. A tally of 13 goals in 23 appearances is nothing but remarkable at the national level. Despite his young age He is praised for his technical ability and dictating the game in forward position.

In what might prove to be the second signing in the span of two days for the Gunners after the arrival of 34 year old Swiss Captain Stephan Lichtsteiner under the new head coach Unai Emery, Arsenal has proved to be the favoured destination for Yacine Adli who has reportedly snubbed interest from Real Madrid and Bayern Munchen to join the Gunners under Unai Emery and the “diamond eye” Sven Mislintat has said to have had a huge influence on the 17 year old player and his decision. Moreover,Yacine also made his senior debut vs Caen under Emery during his time at Paris SG.
His interest in working under the Spaniard is quite understandable from this Interview of his back in March where he spoke about his improvement under the coach :
“I think I have become more mature, largely thanks to my integration in adult game in with reserves, certain training sessions with the professionals”
I’ve also improved technically and tactically thanks to David Hernandez, who I’ve watched a lot of videos with, which has really helped me,”
From what we know Yacine Adli is known for his braveness in possession and also for his dribbling skills but his lack of speed can sometimes make him vulnerable to dispossession.
Yacine Adli was highly praised when he made a cameo debut vs Caen, showing some exquisite touches. His ability to maneuver himself on the pitch to find little pockets of space to gain possession which gives him the quality to be the link between the attack and the defence is quite exquisite and frankly the biggest talent that the 17 year old possesses.
We really like Yacine Adli.
He's genuinely fun to watch. Extremely graceful in the way he moves; he's impactful and brave in possession, with line-breaking passing, dribbling, and comprehensive vision.
Ironically, he's of a style you would associate with Arsène Wenger. pic.twitter.com/8NZAUuKui2

Judging by his excellent physical abilities, his adapting to the Premier League wouldn’t be a big problem. Moreover Yacine Adli has registered most number of assists in the U-17 World Cup 2017 which speaks for his vision and line-breaking passing.
All in all 17 years old cannot be judged accurately already for their exact skill levels, however judging by the level of widespread interest in the midfielder from the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona and PSG’s own dismay at losing him, it seems Arsenal have indeed snatched an exquisite gem from France who might grow to be a genuine world class Arsenal midfielder in the years to come.
In an age where silly teenagers cost more than 50 million euros, to sign a player of this quality and ability for a compensation fee of £223,000 makes Yacine Adli a brilliant signing in a window like this.
