Manchester United vs Arsenal, Arsenal, Manchester United, Wenger vs Mourinho

Here we go! It’s time for the final showdown between Wenger of Arsenal and Mourinho of United as the Super Sunday clash between the Gunners and the Red Devils await us.[spacer height=”30px”]

As the season is drawing to its close, we will witness Wenger vs Mourinho for one final time as the former has revealed he will step down as the manager of Arsenal at the end of season.[spacer height=”30px”]

Arsenal come into this game with a 4-1 win against West Ham last week. The North Londoners drew against Atletico Madrid on Thursday, where they were the better side for the majority of the game, and given the chances they created, the Gunners should have won it comfortably, but they have all to do in the second leg of the fixture.[spacer height=”30px”]

On the other hand, United are entering this game with back to back wins against Bournemouth and Tottenham, with the win against the latter coming in the FA cup semifinal clash. They have looked extremely dangerous in the past couple of weeks.[spacer height=”30px”]

So it’s safe to say both teams are enjoying good run of form and it will interesting to see who comes out on top. The two clubs made headlines in January with the swap deal including Alexis Sanchez coming to United and Henrikh Mkhitaryan going the other way and both the players have settled in well at their respective clubs.[spacer height=”30px”]

The last 3 meetings ended with a win each for both clubs and they cancelled out each other on the 3rd occasion.[spacer height=”30px”]

It remains to be seen whether the departing Arsene Wenger fields a strong line-up considering the clash vs Atletico on Thursday. Mkhitaryan and Elneny will not be available for Arsenal due to injuries while Valencia remains a doubt.[spacer height=”30px”]

Why Man United should sign these two World Class Center Back’s instead of Umtiti

[spacer height=”30px”]
Here is how they can lineup:[spacer height=”30px”]

Manchester United (4-3-3)[spacer height=”30px”]

Goalkeeper: De Gea[spacer height=”30px”]

David De Gea will continue his place between the sticks after impressing in the win against Tottenham.[spacer height=”30px”]

Defenders: Darmian, Smalling, Jones, Young[spacer height=”30px”]

With Valencia a doubt, Darmian could come in to a formidable back four. They will need to be at their best to stop the Arsenal forwards.[spacer height=”30px”]

Midfielders: Pogba, Herrera, Matic[spacer height=”30px”]

This has always been the love of Mourinho. Matic sitting deep while the French Starlet and Ander Herrera moving the ball swiftly and sliding in balls for the runners ahead.[spacer height=”30px”]

Forwards: Lingard Lukaku Alexis[spacer height=”30px”]

The trio will want to keep their scoring run going against the Gunners and with Alexis uniting against his former club, it will be interesting to see how he performs. The trio have scored 33 goals this season as a whole.[spacer height=”30px”]

Why Laurent Koscielny’s words should be heeded ahead of the end of the season

Arsenal (4-3-3)[spacer height=”30px”]

Goalkeeper: Petr Cech[spacer height=”30px”]

With Ospina playing in the European competition, Cech will mostly take his place with the gloves.[spacer height=”30px”]

Defenders: Chambers, Mustafi, Holding, Kolasinac[spacer height=”30px”]

With Europa finals in sight, surely Wenger will rest his key men for the big game. Chambers and Holding might get their chance against the Red Devils.[spacer height=”30px”]

Midfielders: Xhaka, Ramsey, Willock[spacer height=”30px”]

Xhaka will be the anchorman while Ramsey will need to create chances for the forwards. Willock maybe included in the three man midfield.[spacer height=”30px”]

Forwards: Nelson, Aubameyang, Iwobi[spacer height=”30px”]

Rest for Wilshere, Ozil, Welbeck and Lacazette will mean the youngster Reiss Nelson might be given a chance to shine. Aubameyang will look to add to his impressive 4 months at Arsenal while Alex Iwobi will form the attack for Arsenal.[spacer height=”30px”]

Prediction: United will come out comfortable winners with a 3-1 win.[spacer height=”30px”]
