Has Arsenal Midfielder Aaron Ramsey Made His Mind To Depart Or Just Some Negotiations Tactics?

Arsenal superstar, Aaron Ramsey is tied to a contract till 2019 with club and has not showing any significant signs of extending that any further. The Welshman is a legend in making, if not already at the age of only 27,has served the gunners for almost a decade.

It is fairly obvious that a good box-to-box midfielder is an asset for any team, because that type of player can be the ball-carrier of a team, can be the one from whom your team attack starts and at the same time is that player who will be the first player to stop the opponent’s attacks at will and Ramsey happens to belong in of those categories.

It is something the former Gunners’ boss Arsene Wenger always recognised him for.

“I was a midfielder and I would have loved to have had what he has.”

“He can defend, he can attack, and he can score goals. What more do you want?”

Wenger said back in 2013.

Moreover, with 331 appearances across all competitions in 10 years at London, whilst also registering over 50 goals and as many assists, Ramsey surpassed Fabregas as Arsenal’s Top Scoring Midfielder. Although there are chances that he might depart, playing hard ball in the negotiations with the club.

Meanwhile, the talented central-midfielder’s colleagues are all hoping he stays put in North London. Unai Emery has always held Ramsey on a high regard and also many reports surfaced about his affection towards the Welshman and how he wants to build the team around him.

“My opinion is he’s professional,”

“He is a player, I want in my team.”

new head coach said.

Mkhitaryan had some similar thoughts and thinks that Ramsey’s already a legend in making for the Gunners.

“I will be very happy for him if he signs a new contract because he’s in the history of Arsenal already and I hope he can become a legend for Arsenal after a few more years,”

Henrikh Mkhitaryan had his say about the Ramsey situation.

It is understandable that the fans are now concerned about Ramsey’s future. As in normal circumstances, these comments may have not been made. Ramsey also has chosen not to comment on this topic further and showed professional behaviour, shrugging off all the speculation for the time being.

On the other hand, Barcelona has reportedly step in with a swap-deal of Ousmane Dembele in return of signing the Arsenal cult hero. Dembele has admitted he’s upset at how little he played last season and could see a move to the Emirates as a better option for his development and evidently Emery has praised the youngster many times.

After all that, Ramsey did not play the last match against Chelsea due to a muscle injury which led to more speculation but Emery made it all clear that it was a very small injury issue and Ramsey will be good to feature in the last pre-season game against Lazio.

The Welsh international’s quality is undeniable and the Emirates crowd will be thankful for his services forever. But one has to admit that this is the point where we will see if he will bid a good bye, or it’s his style of just checking his own value within the team before staying for another long decade.
