It has been 4 years since Ander Herrera became a Manchester United player after signing from Athletic Bilbao for £29m under Louis Van Gaal and since then has become an integral part of the midfield.
He made his debut against Swansea City in 2014 on the opening day of the season. Since then he has come a long way to make 161 appearances in all competitions for the Red Devils and now insists that he is happy at Old Trafford after describing the treatment by the club as “perfect”.
The spaniard who turned 29 on Tuesday is aiming for a double century of appearances in the long term. Speculations remained about his future until last summer but he was quick to respond. His current contract expires in June 2019.
Speaking about his future Herrera said;

“All the memories I have are amazing. I’ve been able to win trophies for the club.
“The way the club treats me is perfect.
“The love the fans show for me couldn’t be better or bigger, my family is happy in Manchester.
“So I will just try to give everything and use all my strength and effort to keep deserving to play for this club.”

Since joining, Ander Herrera, who won the 2017 Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year has went on to lift the FA Cup, League Cup and Europa League with the Red Devils and is aiming to add more major outings and honors to his tally.
Perhaps today's generation of football admires the extravagant; however, I admire you for you normality, for always being in the moment and most of all for you brilliant career. It has been an honor to play by your side and learn from you these past 4 seasons @carras16 pic.twitter.com/QfU1xD7QlC

In his 4 years at Manchester United, Ander Herrera has been part of some glorious moments besides just winning trophies. In his debut season he scored 8 goals which included an incredible volley against Yeovil Town in the FA Cup. Also he played a key part in pulling strings from the midfield in key clashes.
In 2017, he set Marcus Rashford away to score against the then Premier League champions Chelsea and played an instrumental role against Ajax in the Europa League final.
In the last campaign he scored the winner against Spurs in the FA Cup semi-final when Manchester United came from behind to win 2-1 and also assisted Paul Pogba with his chest against Manchester City in what will surely go down as Premier League classics of all time with Manchester United coming from 2 down at half time to win 3-2.
Its parts and heroics like these which have made Herrera such a firm favourite among the fans and comments like these which have always signified his true and dedicated commitment to the club despite the endless speculation linking him away from the club in almost every transfer window.
Clearly Jose mourinho rates, his fans rate him highly and the club also rates him which is clear in their offer to extend his contract, so given that everything is simply there in place for him to flourish it makes so sense whatsoever in focusing further on any sort of transfer speculation about him.
