Andreas Pereira

According to the Manchester United Official website, Andreas Pereira have joined Valencia on a loan spell for next season.

Andreas Pereira joined Manchester United in 2012.

[spacer height=”30px”]

In July 2012, he joined Manchester United as an academy scholar. Soon after joining the Devils, he became a regular for the United’s U-18 team.

In May 2015, Andreas Pereira signed a new contract which bound to United till June 2018. In the same month, he was named as United’s U-21 player of the year.

[spacer height=”30px”]

As we reported in the last article at Arsedevils, Pereira was supposed to join Valencia CF on loan though nothing was confirmed by both the teams.

[spacer height=”30px”]

On the last day of the Spanish transfer deadline day which is 24 hours later than in England, Manchester United confirmed that Andreas Pereira have joined Valencia CF on loan.

[spacer height=”30px”]

Pereira joined Valencia CF on a season-long loan for the 2017/18 season. Pereira is looking forward to playing under Marcelino Garcia Toral for the next season.

[spacer height=”30px”]

Valencia CF has paid £2.7m as loan fee to Manchester United while the player wages are to be borne by the La Liga side as reported by the news website Express.

[spacer height=”30px”]

[spacer height=”30px”]

Andreas Pereira was supposed to be included in the squad for this season after his superb spell on loan at Granada.

[spacer height=”30px”]

Jose Mourinho thinks Andreas Pereira as a central midfield player where the Portugese has plenty of options to choose from in the squad.

[spacer height=”30px”]

Moreover, Pereira would have found himself down the pecking order and very less chances of first team football. His desire to play in the first team has led him to go on loan at Valencia CF.

[spacer height=”30px”]

Soon after joining Valencia CF, Andreas Pereira signed a contract extension till 2019 with a clause to extend his contract for another year as reported by the official Manchester United website. He commented

[spacer height=”30px”]

[perfectpullquote align=”full” cite=”” link=”” color=”” class=”” size=””]

“I am delighted that I have extended my contract with this great club. The manager is building a great team here and I want to be part of that as soon as possible. I am going to continue my development at Valencia this season in the hope that I will get plenty of minutes on the pitch. I would like to thank the manager for his help and guidance and for the faith he has shown in me.”

But the fans are not at all happy to see him leave Old Trafford for another year on loan. The fans thought he had performed very well in the last 12 months to get himself included into the squad as reported by Manchester Evening News.

[spacer height=”30px”]

The transfer policy of the Red Devils have been questioned. Most fans wanted him to stay and compete for his place in the team at-least as a sporadi first team player.

[spacer height=”30px”]

Even comparisons of Andreas Pereira and Jesse Lingard have began on twitter.

[spacer height=”30px”]

Andreas Pereira’s decision to go on loan to the Spanish League where he has already excelled as a first team player is a right decision for his career to move forward. It will help him to grow much further.

[spacer height=”30px”]

This would help him to show to the world especially Mourinho what he is actually capable of. He would able to grow more as a player.

[spacer height=”30px”]

However, we wish Andreas Pereira a wonderful season at the Spanish club.

[spacer height=”30px”]

As I United fan myself, I would surely like to see him play in the United shirt soon enough.
