Arsenal vs CSKA Moscow: Key Talking Points from the Europa League Match

Aaron Ramsey, Aaron Ramsey Contract Extension, Ramsey new contract, Ramsey contract, juventus

When Arsenal demands Ramsey delivers that’s how the Welshmen has been for the gunners this season. He along with Lacazette scored two goals each too sink the Russian side’s hopes of progressing to the next round of the Europa League. Arsenal go into the away fixture with a 3 goal cushion.[spacer height=”30px”]

Here are a few key talking points from the game which deserve to be discussed about.[spacer height=”30px”]

1. Ramsey of Wales and Goals[spacer height=”30px”]

It was an all Rambo show at the Emirates. It took him just nine minutes to open his scoring and he very ably added on to that with a sublime volley taking his account for the match to 2. The third goal was a deserved hat-trick if not for the missed hit on the post at near the end of the Europa League clash.[spacer height=”30px”]

With talks being held over the contract of Ramsey. Arsenal should look forward to sign an extension with Ramsey. It would be a huge blow for arsenal if they fail to retain such a prolific scorer.[spacer height=”30px”]

2. Lacazette’s new found form.[spacer height=”30px”]

Since his return from injury against Stoke, the Frenchman has scored 3 goals in 105 minutes. Such has been his recovery to form. If Arsenal are to win the Europa League this time around the key has to be Lacazette’s performance given the unavailability of Aubameyang and the possible injury to Henrikh Mikhitaryan, our two new and key signings of the summer.[spacer height=”30px”]

Credit for his performance and new found form and confidence should certainly go to some extent to Pierre Emerick Aubameyang for giving away his hat-trick penalty to another striker returning from a lengthy injury layoff. With this form intact till the final Arsenal fans can surely dream of winning the Europa League at Lacazette’s former hunting ground.[spacer height=”30px”]

3. Cech for Europe ?[spacer height=”30px”]

This was the first start for Cech in Europa since October. With Ospina starting in the Premier League against Stoke as the former picked up an injury, would it be a good option to start Cech in the remainder of the Europa league ?[spacer height=”30px”]

This would give Ospina as much as seven Premier League Games as well certain much needed belief with respect to his position in the team.[spacer height=”30px”]

Well these are questions only Wenger and Time can answer and we as fans would hope that the boss comes out with the best possible decision for the team irrespective of his unwavering loyalty to his players.[spacer height=”30px”]

4. Problems at the Back[spacer height=”30px”]

CSKA have to perform a miracle of sorts at Moscow to see them through the three goal lead with Arsenal. But with the likes of Golovin who scored an excellent spot kick to give his team an away goal and Ahmed Musa, on loan from Leicester who troubled the defense it can still be a dream for the Russian side to progress in the Europa League.[spacer height=”30px”]

The Arsenal defense is really vulnerable to counter attacks and adding the travel to Russia this might as well be a fixture of concern for the Gunners.
