It’s time to vote for Arsenal’s goal of the season 2018-19. On reflection it’s been a season that has taken on the form of difficult first date for Unai Emery and Arsenal. There have been the inevitable awkward moments such as having to admit that a club of Arsenal’s magnitude couldn’t afford any players. That’s a bit like forgetting the dates name when trying to engage in conversation.
It's time to vote for your Goal of the Season, so today we'll be showing you all the nominees 🗳
We'll let our Player of the Season kick things off – take it away, @LacazetteAlex 🚀

Then there was the Ozil thing. Having to explain his latest injury, absence or inclusion, which was like waiting for end of the meal to make a quick getaway in a cab. However, the chemistry was obvious in Arsenal’s superb 4-2 win over Spurs and the pair had to almost be prized apart.
In Emery’s eyes, Arsenal have looked every inch alluring and desirable at times and on other occasions it’s appeared disappointing, unable to walk up three steps in a pair of high heels. Yet, Arsenal’s saving grace has always been the ability to fashion ‘Ooo – Goals’ basically, goals that when they go in, make you go ‘ooo’
When they have got it right, it’s been a treat on the eyes, a feast at the table of fantasy football fare. Their age old inability to score scruffy goals off a hip or a knee is legendary and has resulted in their reputation for walking the ball into the back of the net but what would you rather.
A goal that will last longer than several seasons or a one that just gets the result. Tough choice but personally, give me a goal that I can drag up in conversation in a pub anytime. Henry’s solo endeavour against Spurs in 2002, Bergkamp’s ingenious goal against Newcastle 2002, Giroud’s stunning scorpion kick against Palace 2017 or Kanu’s third goal of his hat trick in 1999 ‘Kanu believe it’
When nobody's free in the box, so you assist the post instead 😅

4️⃣ Ozil v Leicester (h)

Of course there are plenty of others but it’s a relatively short blog for me, which brings me to the contenders of the Arsenal goal of the season 2018/19.
Chose from the following:
1.Alex Lacazette v Cardiff (a)
2.Alex Lacazette v Everton (h)
3.Aaron Ramsey v Fulham (a)
4.Mesut Ozil v Leicester (h)
5.Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang v Leicester (h)
6.Granit Xhaka v Crystal Palace (a)
7.Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang v Tottenham (h)
8.Aaron Ramsey v Tottenham (a)
9.Mesut Ozil v Crystal Palace (h)
10.Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang v Valencia (a)
As for my own choice, it’s been difficult but the one that I keep going back to is Aaron Ramsey’s goal against Fulham. Arsenal had been on the back foot but managed to pick their way out of their own penalty area with a series of cute exchanges between Ramsey, Lacezette and Hector Bellerin but it was the Welshman’s two headers in the move that kept the move flowing.
The ball reached Henrikh Mkhitaryan who played in Aubameyang, who in turn provided the cross for the Welshman to flick the ball in off the far post. He’d been on the pitch for 39 seconds. It was a goal that sits comfortably with any you care to mention, one of simplicity and inventiveness, a classically crafted Arsenal goal on the counter.
🌊 Flowing team move
😱 Outrageous finish
🤷♂️ Nonchalant celebration

Now, if we are talking all time, it’s Bergkamp’s against Newcastle, a goal that is as mesmerising today as the day he scored it and even the Newcastles fans applauded.
