According to the earlier reports, Hector Bellerin was expected to be fit and ready for the beginning of the new season.
The Spaniard was injured against Chelsea last term and was thought to be out for around nine months after surgery on his anterior cruciate ligament of his left knee.
Hector Bellerin was thought to be making great progress, but it’s now thought that he may miss several weeks of the new season. Take that timescale with a pinch of salt, because there’s still time to make a more rapid recovery with the season some distance away.
Bellerin’s return hitting an unexpected problem gives Emery another transfer dilemma.

There’s no immediate need for panic because Ainsley Maitland Niles was one of the standout performers for the club in an role fairly alien to him.
Yes, long term it’s an issue and Emery needs cover with natural right back credentials, but he has AMN and probably has an option in Jordi Osei-Tutu who will be familiar to Freddie Ljungberg, if not Unai Emery.
Anyone rushing to put rope around the beam and kick their own chair away, should calm down because even if Arsenal can’t splash the cash, they have talent waiting in the shadows that aren’t going to cost £36m.
Emery will have to put the breaks on the potential loan deal of Osei-Tutu to Hamburg, but there was also interest from Celtic and Brentford…not much of a choice !

So, perhaps this stops a pointless loan and saves a few quid at the same time.
Some fans may be slightly miffed because Stephan Lichtsteiner was recently released by the club, but that’s no loss in my opinion.
If I were Emery, I’d concentrate on central defenders, a midfielder and a winger, rather than look at options for a right back that the club can’t afford.
