Ivan Perisic is set to be on the bench for Inter Milan’s next match against Torino as the player looks to seal a move to the Emirates. Football Italia has reported that Inter will bench Perisic to leave as they look to get their player offloaded for 40 million Euros to the Gunners.
La Gazzetta dello Sport further claims that the 29 year old is disappointed after his move to the Premier League fell off last summer.
As duly reported here, the Croatian International then, had confessed his desire to play in the Premier League during last year itself saying :
“I’ve always said it’s my dream (to play in the Premier League) and in football everything is possible. We’ll see what happens in the future, now I’m focused on Inter.” he said
The same source mentions that Inter wants a permanent transfer instead of a loan move. But this will prove detrimental to Arsenal’s hopes of signing him on loan as they are short of transfer funds.
This was also the same reason why Barca refused to sell Denis Suarez to the Unai Emery lead side. However, the Gunners are said to be hopeful of concluding a permanent 35 million pounds transfer for the Croatian in the summer.
But CalcioMerato has revealed that the Italian outfit will let go of their prized possession this month if only they receive an offer between 35 million – 40 million pounds or a loan with a permanent buy on clause.
Inter Coach Luciano Spalletti’s recent statements on Perisic’s future has only reinforced the club’s intention of getting a profitable deal for their player.
“It’s a player that has been talked about because everyone values him as much as we do, and if anyone wants to buy him they will need to pay him good money because we rate him a lot.”
Even though Perisic was vital in leading his country to the World Cup finals in last year. With Inter this season he has produced just three goals and five assists in twenty five appearances. Therefore, Arsenal need to think twice before making a permanent transfer move for the player.
In addition to this, Football Italia has stated that Ozil will not be involved in any swap deal with Inter. The German play-maker has reportedly fallen out with manager Unai Emery who refuses to grant him a starting role despite the club being in severe requirement of his services.
And now in a surprise turn of events, Inter Milan CEO has sensationally revealed that Arsenal target Ivan Perisic has put in a formal transfer request after Arsenal Offer. Speaking to sky Italia, Giuseppe Marotta said :
“Perisic has asked to leave but there is no offer for him. We will see in the coming days.”
“Many players ask for a transfer,” added Marotta. “Perisic has expressed this desire, we must try to satisfy him, respecting the asset value that the player has for the club.”
