Arsene Wenger had this to say to beIN Sports about the possibility of him coaching again and also about the game we love,

‘You know, I can contribute in a different way. I still miss it. I still miss the intensity. So, overall, I’m still vulnerable. I’m like a guy who no longer takes drugs. I also think that I can contribute in a different way.’

‘It’s caring about the beautiful game, the values that we cherish, and also this thing we have in our bodies, in each cell of our bodies. We care, we worry, we are desperate, but when you come here, this theatre of dreams, we realise what it means.’

Wenger has seen some of the best matches in the last few decades with Arsenal and has enjoyed great intensity in the top-flight. Wenger has expressed his love for the game and how much he misses managing games. Being on the field for over more than 22 years certainly makes it a habit and Wenger has enjoyed quite a few wins which make missing the job even easier.

What Could Be The Next Step For Arsenal Legend Arsene Wenger?

According to some reports, Arsene Wenger could replace Leonardo Araujo as the sporting director of Paris Saint-Germain. It seems highly unlikely for Mauricio Pochettino to stay further than this season at PSG. French Worldcup winner Zinedine Zidane is being positioned as a clear favourite by bookies like mycasinoadviser.com as the leading person to replace the Argentine manager next season.

Wenger has mentioned that he can contribute at the club level in a different way. That suggests a role upstairs and not on the touchline. PSG has had an upsetting season considering the transfer window they had earlier. Therefore, they might consider changing a few personnel to achieve more success in the coming years.

Wenger was appointed as the coach of Arsenal in 1996 and has worked non-stop for 22 years with the Gunners. He has managed over 1000 games and has won a lot of trophies and played a lot of finals. He also led the ‘Invincibles’ to their unbeaten league title win in 2003/04. In those 22 years, he has signed and sold countless players and has also developed youngsters into Arsenal legends, a culture that is still followed at the club today.

Should Arsene Wenger Return To Working At Club Level?

The Frenchman easily comes among the list of the best managers in the history of football with extensive experience at the highest level. Wenger’s knowledge of football is quite sharp and he has shown that with crucial wins and strong statements or predictions as a pundit. He is still one of the most respected personalities in world football.

Clubs may not consider him as their next manager but they could certainly use his advice to thrive. Therefore, an advisory role for the 72-year-old seems more than just perfect. His vast experience in the footballing world will allow him to take footballing clubs to the next level. He has taken Arsenal in the Champions League final and could help PSG achieve the same.

PSG remains without a Champions League title and it is now the most desired thing within the club after getting knocked out by Real Madrid recently. The upstairs role with a massive club like PSG is still a very tough job to do. However, Arsene Wenger is capable of handling such tough jobs as he has shown that previously with his remarkable career at Arsenal.
