According to reports in Italy, Arsenal have lost the race to sign their primary target Dusan Vlahovic. Juventus have reportedly reached an agreement with Fiorentina for the Serbian striker.
Arsenal are set to lose three of their centre-forwards at the end of the season. Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah will leave the club as free agents in the summer while Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is also looking for a move away from the Emirates after being removed from the first-team.
The North London side have been heavily indulged in the transfer market to sign a reliable striker. The Gunners were linked to numerous targets such as Jonathan David, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Alexander Isak, but made the Serb their top priority in the January transfer window
Vlahovic refused to sign a new deal with Fiorentina, whose contract expires in 2023. The Serie A club made it clear that they want €70/80 million to sell the striker in January. Arsenal were locked in a battle with Juventus to sign the player.

Reports also suggested that Arsenal went all-in with a £50 million bid plus Lucas Torreira to sign Dusan Vlahovic and had hoped to reach an agreement with the Italian club. But, the club were never the problem, rather it’s the player and his representatives. The club had always been transparent with its demands. The player’s agent never responded to the North London club’s offer and now, the boat has sailed away.
According to Sky Sports, Juventus and Fiorentina have agreed on a fee of £62.8m for the Serbian international. Both the Serie A clubs had been involved in negotiations for some time before agreeing on a price. Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports that the player, his agents and Juventus are finalising the personal terms.

Dusan Vlahovic has been stalling a move to Arsenal since November, waiting to explore more offers from other clubs. It was reported by La Repubblica (via Metro) that the centre-forward is in no hurry to make a decision and would like to wait until summer before deciding on his future.
The player had the intention to remain in Italy from the beginning, dubbing Juventus as his dream destination. Now, Arsenal are actively exploring alternatives, having missed out on Vlahovic. The North London club have set their eyes on Real Sociedad striker Alexander Isak.
