Mesut Ozil has signed a three-and-a-half-year contract extension with Arsenal to end all rumors and discussions about his future at the club.
After Aubameyang signing which is viewed as an signal of clear intent of challenging for the Premier League trophy by the club, it seems that our very own German maestro has been convinced of the clubs ambitions by the recent actions and feels that this is the right place to call home for another three and a half years.
After almost 18 months of deliberation and discussion between the club and his entourage, the German has finally put pen on paper and signed the massive contract offered to him by the club which will make him only the second highest wage earner in the entire League and just behind his former team mate Alexis Sanchez.
It is understood Ozil’s new terms, which will keep him at Arsenal until the summer of 2021, will see him earn around £350,000 a week, making him the highest paid player at the club.
The Mesut Ozil contract extension had really dragged on for quite some time but at this moment it feels like ‘ who cares when we have Mesut Ozil and he is staying ‘ but frankly the club and its hierarchy should be hugely relieved that another player will not walk out on the club like Sanchez desperately did.
It is obviously a huge cause of celebration and really the Mesut Ozil contract extension feels like a brand new signing but had the German walked out on the club in the summer they would only have themselves to blame for their actions.
A club like Arsenal with an Invincible crown, and such an incredible and enormous history and heritage which is the envy of so many other clubs in Europe deserves to have players like Ozil and Aubameyang don the famous red and white of Arsenal.
Any other club would have moved heaven and earth to ensure a fresh contract for a player of his callibre and whom the club had badly missed during their woeful form of late when Ozil was out with a nagging knee injury. While the terms offered to Ozil are indeed massive but they are justified and deserved for a player who has created the MAXIMUM number of chances in the entire League since his arrival.
The Mesut Ozil contract extension with Arsenal feels like an event or a cause for huge celebration among the entire fan base and why not. The player who not only has the most number of Premier League assists since he has signed but also the most number of chances created in the league had been in the last six months of his contract but will now stay for another three years at the club which is now as much his as is ours.

Truly the assist king and one of the best midfielders to have ever plied their trade in the premier League, when a player like that signs for Arsenal when he could have walked right out the door in the summer, the enormous satisfaction and sheer joy about the Mesut Ozil contract extension cannot be just expressed in words.
Well this is for the clubs who were licking their lips at jumping on the German with their oil money and Mourinho sized noses :

We might have lost Giroud to Chelsea and Alexis to Manchester But from the ashes that remain we have managed to put together a strike force that will even make the likes of Real Madrid and Bayern Munich rubbing their hands in admiration. After all we have Lazacette, Mikhitaryan, Aubameyang and Ozil to decimate all that stands in front of us. All we need right now is to figure out a formation featuring their presence in the same lineup without compromising with our defensive stability.
Lets see how it all pans out in the coming months
