The 28 years old Welsh International, Aaron Ramsey is looking for a new club in the summer having seen his contract negotiations with the Gunners fall through beyond a point of reconciliation. According to reports from Sky Sports, PSG is on the top of the table to get the signature of Ramsey.
Ramsey is out of contract at the end of the season and Arsenal are willing to accept an offer in between €10-20m. PSG reportedly want to maximise the advantage and are said to be in regular contact with Aaron Ramsey’s agent for a potential move to Parc des Princes.
Ramsey likes to play as a box-to-box midfielder. He has scored some wonderful goals for the Gunners. His link-up play and clinical finishing is worth to watch. Under Emery, Ramsey is not getting enough game time and is almost always used as a substitute. The current situation of Ramsey means that he is all but certain to leave the club and now its a question of where.
The addition of Torreira and Guendouzi along with Özil and Xhaka has limited the Welshman’s playing time on the pitch for the Gunners. Emery seems to be impressed in the young lad Guendouzi and he is a regular starter recently. Lack of game time with low wage is definitely a frustration for any player and with the contract offer on the table being removed by club previously, Ramsey can hardly be blamed for wanting to choose his next destination.
It is clear that PSG wants to bring the Champions League title to France. The addition of Ramsey to a quality midfield with the likes of Marco Veratti, Julian Draxler, Adrien Rabiot would definitely make them the title contenders. With Neymar and Di María in wings, Ramsey can easily find spaces in the opposition box and would indeed a treat to watch playing for the french champions.
There are rumors that Rabiot is on his way to Barcelona and if that’s the case, the 27 year old midfielder can be used to fill his void. PSG are reportedly said to be offering him a 18 month deal due to the fact that his career was full of injuries and they are not evaluating him as a long term replacement.
Ramsey is a highly talented player who can play in any team with his quality. If it was not for injuries, his career stats could have been much better. He suffered from a horrible fatal injury which nearly ended his career against Stoke City. He came back strongly as a warrior for the Gunners but it seems his time at the club is almost at an end.
It is highly unlikely that Ramsey would continue in the North London at the moment. Arsenal made it clear that they are not willing to offer a higher salary for the player and are indeed on the lookout for potential replacements for Ramsey. It is up to the player himself to decide his next club and PSG seem like one of the likeliest destination for the Welsh maestro.
