Three Clubs Interested As Arsenal Step-Up Efforts To Sell £50 Million Rated Star

Mesut Ozil, Ozil, Ozil transfer, Mesut

Unai Emery is all set to revamp the club after a lacklustre season at Emirates. According to the reports from the footballing circle, the North Londoners are ready to sell German star footballer Mesut Ozil to fund their transfers in the summer.

After enduring a dismal season in 2018/19, Unai Emery is set to make the required changes in the summer transfer window. With a reported fund of only £45 million available, it is vital for Unai Emery to increase his funds. And to increase his transfer kitty, he is all set to sell the German superstar, Mesut Ozil.

Arsenal failed to finish in the top-four and thereby failing to get a Champions League berth for next season. Another way of qualifying for the Champions League was through the Europa League finals. However, they lost 4-1 to Chelsea.

With the absence of Champions League action next season, the Arsenal board has only allocated £45 million for Emery to spend on the new faces. Hence, Emery is in dire need to offload his dysfunctional players to acquire the neccesary funds and Mesut Ozil falls among those players.

The things took an ugly turn when Mesut Ozil was substituted in the Europa League final against Chelsea at Baku. He uttered six words in Turkish which has forced Emery to sell him. Those words were

I swear, you’re not a coach.”

Gunners are expecting a fee of around €35 million for Mesut Ozil. Even though, the Turkish clubs like Galatasaray, Fenerbahce and Besiktas are interested in the former Real Madrid player, nobody is willing to meet the wages of the player. It remains interesting to see if any club can sign Mesut Ozil before the transfer window closes in England.

If the club wants to build rebuilt and get revamped, the club will require funds. Failing to secure the Champions League qualification for 2019/20, has cost Arsenal in the form of pre-tax losses. This has increased the pressure on Arsenal to sell the German footballer in order to raise the transfer funds.

On the other hand, Ozil did not perform to his potential in the 2018/19 season being the top-earner at the club. Selling Mesut Ozil will help both Arsenal and the player himself to shine on every front.
