Demystifying The Actual Reason Behind The Possible Departure Of Ivan Gazidis

Gazidis,Arsedevils

Arsenal CEO, Ivan Gazidis is rumoured to be on AC Milan’s wanted list, but this has already been dispelled as fantasy from inside the club.

In July, Chairman Sir Chips Keswick, who sounds like a character from a Dickens novel said,

[perfectpullquote align=”full” bordertop=”false” cite=”” link=”” color=”” class=”” size=””]

“We are aware of the speculation surrounding our chief executive Ivan Gazidis.

We know he receives many offers from organizations inside and outside the game as he’s a hugely respected figure.”

– Chips Keswick on Gazidis[/perfectpullquote]

Not by Arsenal fans though, Kesqick!

The fact is that when Arsene Wenger was dispatched, it seemed as if Gazidis had finally removed his last obstacle to become the new David Dein, something he could never be in the eyes of the Gunners faithful.

He took centre stage in the search for a new manager in his position of Stan Kroenke’s poodle and he spoke to the press like he actually knew what he was talking about and doing. He doesn’t.

The club CEO, as we are aware is not a football man as such, he has a degree in law and was involved in marketing in the MLS. The go to man for flags and popcorn, much like Arsenal’s owner, Invisible Stan.

He also helped in promoting the Mexican Football Federation and the CONCACAF Gold Cup, which is a tournament for countries that normally have to pay opponents to play them such as the mighty Guatemala and the fearsome Guadeloupe.

With Wenger gone, the chair he sat in felt a little wider, the carpets looked a little plusher and the air smelt of freshly cut flowers where ever he went. He found a manager in Unai Emery that couldn’t and wouldn’t say no. Life had never been so good and the diabolical duo of Kroenke and Gazidis looked like the perfect couple.

I was puzzled deeply when I first heard AC Milan were looking to poach Gazidis, not because I was surprised by the size and stature of the club that came in for him but because he appeared to have everything he wanted. He could make lots of money, secure sponsorship deals and indulge himself as the new Mr. Arsenal Then only a few days ago, as the rumours resurfaced I spoke to a source within the Emirates who managed to put a new and delicious spin on a relatively dead story.

You may recall that invisible Stan sent his offspring over to become familiar with the goings on at the club.
Another butthead with little or no experience of the Premier League. He is the President of the Denver Nuggets (try not to giggle) and Governor of the Colorado Rapids and Colorado Avalanche.

Anyway, the boy Josh came over, spoke to lots of people, shook lots of hands and left to report back to his dear old pappy, who was probably securing a six figure deal for one of his teams to be dressed in chicken feathers.

The new rumour is that Kroenke senior is sending the fruit of his loins to take up a permanent position at the club but he won’t be stepping into Stan’s shoes just yet.

So, where is he going to fit? Em, hold on. What about the job of CEO, no that’s taken…. at the moment.

That’s right my friends, the word is that the undying love affair for mutual gain and financial reward between Ivan and Stan, is in danger of ending because of Kroenke’s son. Dang it (going very American at this point ) who would have thought that deceit and treachery would feature in this story and although not substantiated, it is as good a reason as any for Gazidis to go to AC Milan, whilst claiming that it was time for a new challenge.

It’s reminiscent of a time recently where the club and their French manager Arsene Wenger parted company by mutual agreement. I hate to say this but paybacks a bitch.

Kroenke and Gazidis killed Arsenal and continue to pick over its bones. Such is the incompetence of the pair that you couldn’t trust them to take your dog for a walk and return it home safely.

However, they worked in a way that complimented each other but sadly not the football team.

Anti Kroenke , anti Gazidis but always a gooner. Still wishes he could watch from the stands at the Highbury library.
