First January Signing Planned | International Goalkeeper Is on the Verge of being Arsenal’s January Recruit

Majecki Radosław

Arsenal are considering a move for 19-year old Radosław Majecki from Legia Warsaw, the current Polish champion, according to reports from Polish media. The Gunners want a tie-up with the young future star and are ready to return him to Legia as a loan deal in the January transfer window.

Legia Warsaw have two experienced goalkeepers – 38 year old Arkadiusz Malarz and 35 year old Radosław Cierzniak. Clearly, there should be something special in Majecki to make Ricardo Sá Pinto – the coach of Legia Warsaw – pick him over the other two. It is obvious that Arsenal want to utilize his talent in the future.

Arsenal are trying to close the deal as early as possible in January to make sure that Petr Čech, who’s on his last lap – is well replaced.

Standing at 191 cm, Majecki produced some decent performances for his club despite his lack of experience in the first team at such a young age. Keeping a splendid 6 clean-sheets out of 8 shows his quality, and definitely deserves praise.

It is not strange that top clubs are always on the lookout for young and qualified players. Arsenal did great by scouting him in recent weeks.

There is another interesting factor to notice in the case of Arsenal and Polish goalkeepers. Łukasz Fabiański (2007-2014) and Szczęsny(2009-2017) both played for Arsenal, and the Gunners signed them from Legia Warsaw.

With Bernd Leno and the veteran Petr Čech around, it won’t be easy for Majecki to be in the starting lineup for the Gunners. So a loan deal would be ideal for the development of the player and the clubs.

The young lad will get enough experience and Arsenal can replace Čech with him in future. After all, experience does have a big part in goalkeeping. A simple error could lose a game. We already saw them in many matches including Champion’s League Final.

In past, most of the clubs gave importance to attacking and transfer windows reflected them. Major transfer fee records are in the name of midfielders and attackers. But recently, defenders and goalkeepers are getting enough attention and transfer fees are rising for them too. As Sir Alex Ferguson says, “Attack wins you games, defence wins you titles.”

Majecki needs to prove himself at Emirates because he must perform at his best to overcome the likes of Čech, Emiliano Martínez, Matt Macey and Ryan Huddart as the later two are under loan period from Arsenal. Getting a young goalkeeper with tremendous potential is an asset for any club and it would be an good signing for the Gunners.

The youngster now has the opportunity to be a part in the Emery era for the betterment of the Arsenal. It is very likely that a deal between Arsenal and Legia Warsaw soon be done.

If the deal is done, then Majecki is following the exact same path of Fabiański and Szczęsny, his Polish teammates. займ на карту мгновенно круглосуточно без проверок и без отказа без звонков
