Arsenal Vs Southampton Match Preview:

The Gunners have a great chance to slip into the top four as fourth placed Manchester United face Liverpool and could potentially drop points.

Team News:

Alexandre Lacazette will be available for selection after he served his one game ban. Captain Laurent Koscielny however, is a doubt after being injured in the Europa League encounter.

Sokratis returned midweek and scored Arsenal’s third against BATE. Ainsley Maitland-Niles is also recovering from weakness and will be assessed before the Arsenal Vs Southampton game. As Maitland-Niles is still recovering, Stephan Lichtsteiner would retain his position at right back. Nacho Monreal could well keep his place at left back in a back four formation.

Midfield:

Granit Xhaka and Lucas Torreira will start in central midfield for The Gunners in what should look like a 4-2-3-1. Youngster Matteo Guendouzi has played a lot recently and could deservedly be given some rest this week.

Mesut Ozil finally played after a long time as Arsenal got an easy 3-0 victory on Thursday. Emery is under immense pressure from the fans after the team’s drop in form post dropping Ozil.
