The team selection will be a tough affair for Arsenal’s Spanish boss, though. Unai Emery must motivate his team who faced a rather shocking defeat at Rennes in the Europa League.
The inconsistency of the players and the congested fixture that Arsenal has had in recent weeks will give Unai Emery a headache ahead of the London side’s clash with the Red Devils.
Arsenal host Stade Rennes just four days after their match with United, and that can influence Emery’s team selection. Both the games are of utmost importance, and a disappointment in either will stamp Arsenal’s season as a failure.

Here is a possible line-up that fans may expect to see against United.
Goalkeeper: Bernd Leno
The 27-year-old German shot-stopper has played 23 out of 29 Premier League games for Arsenal this season and may very well expect to start against United on the weekend.
Leno, who was rested in Arsenal’s midweek Europa League tie, has established himself as the team’s first choice goalkeeper under Unai Emery and it is highly unlikely that he would get benched this weekend.
Defenders: Laurent Koscielny, Sokratis Papastathopoulos, Shkodran Mustafi, Nacho Monreal
Koscielny and Sokratis are likely to continue their centre back partnership, while Monreal and Mustafi flank the duo as the two full-backs.
Moreal offers much more defensive protection than Sead Kolasinac, and United’s recent form in front of goal will probably instigate Emery to go for that extra protection in defence that Monreal offers.
Hector Bellerin’s season-ending injury will probably lead to Mustafi once again playing as a right full-back, a role that is neither his favourite nor alien to him.
Central Midfielders: Granit Xhaka and Mateo Guendouzi
Granit Xhaka has one of the first names in Unai Emery’s team sheet over the course of the season and will likely keep his place in the middle of the park this weekend as well.
On the other hand, Lucas Torreira’s suspension means that Emery will have to make do with the less experienced, but exceptionally talented, Mateo Guendouzi as Xhaka’s midfield partner.
Attacking Midfielder: Aaron Ramsey, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Alex Iwobi
Aaron Ramsey and Alex Iwobi have been pretty much Unai Emery’s go-to men when it comes to midfield selection. The former has played 24 Premier League games this season and is the team’s joint top assist maker, while the latter has 26 games to his name.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who has had an injury-disrupted season, has also been in decent form lately and will likely keep his place in the team against his former employers.

Center Forward: Alexandre Lacazette
Given the fact that the Frenchman is suspended from Europe and was rested in Arsenal’s mid-week game against Stade Rennes, it is highly likely that Emery will choose Lacazette to lead Arsenal’s attack on this Sunday.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Arsenal’s top scorer this season, is guaranteed to be involved in the game at some point even if it’s just a substitute appearance.
