According to The Athletic, Arsenal have held initial talks over the possibility of a contract renewal with Bukayo Saka. His current contract expires in the June of 2024 and other clubs such as Liverpool had started to take an interest in the availability of the player. He has become one of the most important players for Arsenal this season and will continue to do so in the future.

Bukayo Saka is currently enjoying the best season of his life. He recently scored against Aston Villa to help Arsenal win the game by that solitary goal. He is now one of the most developed youngsters in the world and could potentially be one of Europe’s best. His growing importance in the team has led the club into thinking of rewarding him with a fresh contract.

Saka’s decision could depend on Arsenal’s position after the end of this season. There is a high chance that he stays at the club if Arsenal qualifies for the Champions League, something bookies like casino online are offering significantly favourable odds on. However, Arsenal want to extend his contract as soon as they can to fend off interests from other clubs, especially from rival clubs.

How Has Bukayo Saka Become So Important For Arsenal?

Saka mostly plays on the right-hand side of the pitch. He does wonders with his left foot while cutting inside. Sometimes he does switch to the left flank and combines well with Kieran Tierney. Both the players are Arsenal’s best creative options. They are both crossers and having them at either end is a blessing for Arsenal.

Saka likes to come in from the right and swap positions with midfielders. He then uses his excellent vision to thread a killer pass that cuts open the opposition defence. He also likes to make late runs into the box which gets him more time to finish. Saka is very intelligent about getting into the right places at the right time. Consequently, most of his goals are scored from late runs or with first-time finishes while being at the blind spot of the defender.

Saka combines well with the full-back playing on his side of the pitch. He cuts inside which also creates space for the full-back to attack and make an overlapping run. However, Saka uses the overlapping run to his advantage as one stepover gives him enough space to burst with pace or take a shot.
