Breakthrough Players,Fixtures And Squad Information As Arsenal Jet Off To Singapore For Pre-Season Tour.

Singapore Tour,Arsenal,Arsedevils

[spacer height=”20px”]Arsenal have flown down to Singapore to continue their pre-season with Unai Emery as their new head coach. Arsenal played League side Boreham Wood away at the Meadow Park. Arsenal scored 8 goals with the free-flowing football they are known for and will be heading to Singapore twice in 4 years. Unai Emery made total eleven substitutions before the game ended giving few minutes to almost every player. He looked animated at the sidelines which is one of the changes few contingents of Arsenal fans always wanted. Gunners in Singapore will be excited to watch the Arsenal take on some big clubs like PSG and Atleltico Madrid at the National Stadium.

Arsenal will take part in the International Champions Cup. Football fever has hit Singapore as this competition’s first team lands and checks in Shangri-La Hotel along Orange Grove Road.

All Fixtures to be played at the National Stadium,Singapore.

On this Singapore Tour Arsenal would be facing Atletico Madrid on 26th July who showed them doors out of the Europa League Semi-final 2018 and the French Champions PSG two days later. After hammering Boreham Wood at Meadow Park and Crawley Town behind closed doors Arsenal would be up looking for some stern tests against these European giants. Last time Arsenal faced Atletico Madrid in a friendly it was a late brace from the Russian Andrei Arshavin which secured us a win while previous meetings with PSG have ended in draws home and away in Champion’s League group stage.

Arsenal had announced their squad for Singapore Tour few days back.

[spacer height=”20px”]

[spacer height=”20px”]

Major Absentees: Danny Welbeck, Nacho Monreal, Stephan Lichsteiner, Granit Xhaka and Lucas Torreira will not travel to Singapore as they are still on leave after their World Cup duties.

[spacer height=”10px”]

Breakthrough PlayersEmile Smith Rowe, Jordie Osei-Tutu and last year’s rookie trio of Reiss Nelson, Eddie Nketiah and Joe Willock would be making the trip to Singapore.

[spacer height=”10px”]

While the likes of The Jeff, Chuba Akpom,Joel Campbell and Carl Jenkison are expected to leave this summer almost permanently and since Arsenal are still in market for a winger, Emery would like to cash in on these young players for the required finances.

SQUAD ANALYSIS

[spacer height=”20px”]

GOAL SCORING ATTACK

[spacer height=”10px”]

With Aubameyang and Lacazette starting together, Eddie Nketiah would like to live up to his late impact striker tag which he earned after his brace against Norwich in the League Cup last year. Aubameyang and Lacazette would like to develop their attacking partnership and score more goals on this tour. It would be a lucky chance for Lucas Perez as Arsenal are still unable to buy a winger and he will be one to look out for at the Singapore Tour.

[spacer height=”10px”]

GOALKEEPER SITUATION

[spacer height=”10px”]

With growing links of Arsenal to buy Yan Sommer of Borussia Monchengladbach, Petr Cech is not assured of starts even after claiming the No.1 shirt this summer. Bernd Leno and the veteran will start a game each with some required game time for Emi Martinez.

[spacer height=”10px”]

DEFENSIVE SHAKE-UP REQUIRED

[spacer height=”10px”]

Mavropanos would like to partner his Greek International Sokratis to flourish and gain more experience with some tough opponents ahead in Singapore. Rob Holding and Calum Chambers would like to do more of what they did to Diego Costa in FA Cup Final of 2017 against Chelsea. Emery using Calum Chambers as a holding midfielder in previous friendly, it becomes interesting how would the team line up against Atleti.

[spacer height=”10px”]

This tour would be of greatest significance to Shkodran Mustafi since falling out of favor as a Centre back. It would be good for Arsenal if he harbors a partnership with Sokratis. Knowing that the experienced Swiss captain would be back after the Sinagapore Tour, Hector Bellerin would not like to take anything for granted. With the pace the Spaniard has he becomes a natural starter but Emery would like to see him cross more in the box along the ground or in the air. Emery would like to turn his asset into a better goal providing RB.

[spacer height=”10px”]

Sead Kolasinac is also one forgotten warrior who plays with heart on his shirt. He had a storming start to his Arsenal career with goals and assists but his inconsistencies in defending and Nacho Monreal having one of the seasons of his life meant his first team starts were cut down and would like to slot himself at that left back position.  Osei-Tutu has also got his ticket to the Singapore doing no harm to his growing status of left sided player.

[spacer height=”10px”]

MIDFIELD OPTIONS

[spacer height=”10px”]

After the heavy-hearted statements released by Mesut Ozil of quitting German National Team due to what is believed to be racism from DFB and especially their President Reinhard Grindel, he would like to take this Singapore Tour to get back his form carrying it into the new Premier League season.

[spacer height=”10px”]

Aaron Ramsey’s contract situation is yet to be sorted but is to be taken care off as he is the most important individual around whom the new Head coach wants to build his squad. and it would be interesting to see whether he would be used in a midfield of three with less defensive duties or in a Box-to- Box Role in Singapore.

[spacer height=”10px”]

Ainsley Maitland Niles should be playing in the midfield which is his preferred position after showing his versatility when Wenger played him left and right back at times. He would be one player to watch out for on this Singapore Tour. Joe Willock and Emile Smith Rowe have good chances to prove their potential against the bigger opponents. With his rise in Junior Arsenal teams Emery feels Emile Smith Rowe is ready for senior team football. Taking in consideration the number of games to be played by Arsenal in four competitions, Rowe can show his ‘A’ game in Singapore, following footsteps of Reiss Nelson and Joe Willock in the senior setup of Arsenal squad. We have already seen glimpses of Mateo Guendouzi when he came on as a substitute against Boreham Wood and would like to get few minutes under his belt in Singapore.

[spacer height=”10px”]

FAN ACTIVITIES IN SINGAPORE

[spacer height=”10px”]

Between the games Arsenal would also be launching their third kit on this Singapore Tour.

[spacer height=”20px”]

[spacer height=”20px”]

With the regular question answering sessions, T-shirt signings and other fan activities it would be a great chance for this Arsenal to know more about Asian Gooners. They would also get along with each other on course of the Singapore tour.

[spacer height=”10px”]

“All these things are beneficial for everyone, especially for the new players as well. When you have new players coming in, you get to know all the players and get a different perspective when you spend a whole week with them in a different environment. It’s easier than to carry on during the season.”

said Petr Cech in an interview before leaving for Singapore to Arsenal.com

[spacer height=”20px”]

[spacer height=”20px”]

Unai Emery would like to win against Atletico Madrid and his previous employers PSG and leave Sinagpore with a stronger squad which has match experience against big clubs. This is going to be a huge self-assessment for the players themselves as individuals and also for Unai Emery and they will hope to have lots of positives to take back from the Singapore tour.
