Awful record gathers momentum as Young Guns Make us and Arsene Proud…

Manchester United vs Arsenal, Arsenal, Manchester United, Wenger vs Mourinho

It was another addition, to The North London side’s awful away run this season at Old Trafford as Arsenal lost 2-1 to the hosts.[spacer height=”30px”]

This loss made it 10 losses in 17 away outings for The Gunners this season. The remaining 7 have 4 draws, leaving just 3 games where The Gunners walked away with maximum points.[spacer height=”30px”]

In layman’s terms, The Gunners have gotten 14 points from a maximum 51 points on the road. Makes for sore reading to be honest.[spacer height=”30px”]

Anyway, the game wasn’t necessarily a walk in the park for The Red Devils as the fielded Young Guns, made a statement for themselves in terms of inclusion in the first team.[spacer height=”30px”]

Of the Young Guns in the side, standout performer for me, had to Konstantinos Mavropanos in CentreBack.[spacer height=”30px”]

[spacer height=”30px”]
The young man stuck to his duties and responsibilities like his life literally depended on it. He was also responsible for taking Lukaku out, literally and figuratively.[spacer height=”30px”]

Besides the valiant efforts of the Young Guns today, another source of inspiration was the return and outstanding performance of Henrikh Mkhitaryan.[spacer height=”30px”]

Not only did he return in time for Thursday’s all important clash, he managed to notch a goal from 20 yards out, which he celebrated with class in front of his former employers and fans.[spacer height=”30px”]

His return and form, certainly increases The Gunners’ chances of progression into the finals past Atletico Madri, in 4 days time.[spacer height=”30px”]

Incase you missed the game, you can catch up on the post match analysis here, on the club’s official site.[spacer height=”30px”]

[spacer height=”30px”]

In conclusion, as much as losing this particular game, doesn’t matter much in the grand scheme of things at the moment for The Gunners, it is still a loss. I am yet to meet a Gunner, who thinks that is OK on any level, under any circumstance.[spacer height=”30px”]
