According to a couple of reports in Spain, Barcelona midfielder Denis Suarez has apparently held informal talks with Unai Emery. The Arsenal manager has almost convinced him to sign for the London Club this winter.
The Spanish International has been on the Arsenal radar for quite sometime. After refusing to give Aaron Ramsey a new contract this season, Arsenal have found a perfect replacement in the 25-year-old. The Barcelona midfielder had previously played under Unai during his loan spell at Sevilla. He played a vital role in the Spanish sides’ European Cup success.The transfer deal is valued at around £20 million.
According to sources, Arsenal have agreed personal terms with Denis Suarez after Unai Emery has reportedly convinced the player to join the Gunners.
According to Sport, Barcelona’s first intention is to make cash with the transfer. Given how clubs do not heavily invest in the winter transfer window, Barcelona are open to loaning out Suarez for the rest of a season with an option of buy at the end of the loan period.
Since ending his loan period, the Spaniard has struggled to find regular place in the first team. He has only made a handful of appearances this term.With a plethora of options in midfield it has been difficult for the midfielder to get quality game-time this season.
