Brentford welcome Arsenal after both teams had different outcomes in the previous gameweek.  Brentford put up an incredible display against Leeds and were clear winners in a 5-2 scoreline. Arsenal went to Old Trafford and dominated possesion only to lose 3-1 to Manchester United. The team showed their lack of composure and clinical finishing against Big six to come up empty-handed. The Gunners have had two matches postponed since the passing of Queen Elizabeth II was announced during their Europa League victory over Swiss side FC Zurich last week.

Injury/Suspension List:

Brentford duo Christian Norgaard and Ethan Pinnock are expected to miss the game, but Thomas Frank is hopeful that Sergi Canos will be back in the squad.

Elneny is set for a sustained period on the sidelines after suffering a significant hamstring injury in Arsenal’s 2-1 win over Fulham. The Egyptian only came into the side to fill in for Thomas Partey, who missed the match due to a thigh problem picked up in training.

Partey is only expected be back on the bench after missing four weeks with injury. His record since joining the club from Atletico Madrid in 2020 is a concern for Arteta. Arsenal, who are also keeping their fingers crossed over Emile Smith Rowe and Cedric Soares  after the pair missed out against Zurich. Reiss Nelson is a definite absentee for the Gunners, meanwhile, due to a thigh problem.

Toney has taken well to the Premier League not just in terms of his goal-scoring numbers, but also with respect to his all-round game. His ability to hold up the ball and bring the likes of Bryan Mbeumo into play has caught the eye of a number of Premier League clubs. The 26-year-old has featured in all of Brentford’s games this season. He currently has five goals and two assists in just six outings. Three of his goals came last week when he bagged an impressive hat trick against Leeds United. Toney is currently left with three years on his contract. Transfer Market values him at a whooping €35m, although he is likely to cost significantly more than this.
