Massive Injury Update As United Have FOUR Players Ruled Out Against Chelsea | Solskjaer Reveals The Players Who Are Going To Replace Them

Chelsea, Chelsea Vs United, injury update

The Red Devils visit Stamford Bridge for the Chelsea Vs United clash in the FA Cup tonight. Chelsea are the current FA Cup holders after United lost out to The Blues in the finals last year. This year, it will be revenge time for the United team.

Meanwhile, Manchester United go into the Chelsea Vs United fixture after a 2-0 loss to PSG in their last fixture of the Champions League. Two of the squad’s crucial players had been injured in that game, Anthony Martial and Jesse Lingard. Lingard had a hamstring strain and Martial faced a groin injury during United Vs PSG match.

During an interview with the club’s caretaker, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, he said:

“I don’t think we will see them in the next two games.”

“Let’s hope they heal quickly, but it looks like they might be out for two or three weeks.”

This is a huge blow for the team as both of these players have been in spectacular form so far and ahead of them lies two of the top clubs in the league. United are set to face Chelsea for their 5th round of the FA Cup, followed by their league game against Liverpool.

According to what Solskjaer said, the two players will be surely missing out on these crucial games. Along with that, Solskjaer further says:

“You’re looking at young players. We’re thinking  Mason Greenwood, now’s your time to step in, and he’s injured, unfortunately,”

“Again, Antonio (Valencia) is out, Matteo (Darmian) is out, but apart from that we are good to go.”

United have had a stroke of really bad luck with these injuries coming along at the wrong time. But there is no time to mourn as we have got players on the bench who could turn things around for the club, especially in the Chelsea Vs United clash. Likewise, Solskjaer said:

“Anthony and Jesse have done really well for us, they’re vital, but then again with Rom and Alexis, they’ve got different skill sets and will be able to show what they can do. We need to gel a team together for Monday.”

Although, Sanchez has been lacking the flair he used to have back at Arsenal, I think he might give us a good performance in these dire situations.

Meanwhile, Solskjaer evoked the spirit of ’99 as we eye FA Cup glory. He said:

“In ’99 we beat them down at Stamford Bridge to get to the final. And we beat Arsenal and Liverpool as well.”

“We did it the hard way then and we’ll have to do it the hard way again if we want to get to the final. I’m looking forward to it.”

The next two games are going to be full of surprises as we go up against the league giants with some uncanny iterations to the squad. But, that won’t be as much of a problem since our caretaker himself believes that they can do it.

Now, all we could do is wish for the best results as the Red Devils travel to London for their Chelsea Vs United fixture at the Stamford Bridge.
