Chelsea vs United | The United Team Jose Should Pick To Spoil The Sarri-Ball ?

Chelsea

United travel to Stamford Bridge on Saturday to kickoff Match-day 9 of the season. And Jose Mourinho would be looking forward to see his build on the inspiring comeback win against Newcastle.

The Portuguese boss will be desperate to record a victory over Chelsea to calm the storm that has swirled around his future in recent weeks.United haven’t won at Stamford Bridge since 2012-13 season under Sir Alex and would need a tactical masterclass from Jose to grind out a result tomorrow, which the United fans would be hoping for.

Provisional Squad against Chelsea :

Goalkeepers: David De Gea, Sergio Romero, Lee Grant

Defenders: Matteo Darmian, Luke Shaw, Chris Smalling, Victor Lindelof, Marcos Rojo, Ashley Young, Eric Bailly

Midfielders: Paul Pogba, Fred, Andreas Pereira, Nemanja Matic, Juan Mata, Ander Herrera

Forwards: Marcus Rashford, Romelu Lukaku, Anthony Martial

Team News :

United have a big injury boost with the return of Ander Herrera who has been out for the better part of this   season.Luke Shaw, Nemanja Matic and Scott McTominay all pulled out of international duty due to injuries, while Marouane Fellaini also failed to appear for Belgium with reports of him carrying a hamstring injury.

Marcos Rojo is back from his spell on the sidelines, giving Jose another option in defence that has looked fragile this season. Lingard is likely to stay out with his groin injury.

Predicted Line-up vs Chelsea:

Jose is likely to a field a 4-3-3 with two holding mid-fielders.

Goalkeeper: David de Gea

It would be a surprise for the Spaniard to be absent between the sticks against Newcastle United.

Defence: Antonio Valencia, Chris Smalling, Victor Lindelof, Luke Shaw

Valencia is likely to be restored at right-back replacing Ashley Young who had a decent game against Newcastle. Lindelof is likely to replace Bailly who was substituted after just 19 mins last time out. Smalling has been the best defender for United this season and should start. Shaw who committed his future at United after signing a new 5 year-contract should start at left-back.

Midfield: Paul Pogba, Nemanja Matic, Marouane Fellaini

Jose is likely to go with his two powerful defensive mid-fielders to cope with the free flowing Chelsea attack and unleash the attacking side of Pogba as we saw against Newcastle. Matic and Fellaini are impeccable in air and their physical traits could disrupt the Chelsea attack.

Forwards: Marcus Rashford, Romelu Lukaku, Anthony Martial

Needless to say, Martial has been the most creative forward for United this season and should start on the left-side. Sanchez arrived late after international duty and is unlikely to be ready to start against Chelsea, Rashford is likely to replace him who was outstanding in the win against the 3-2 win against Spain. Lukaku is expected to lead the line after he bagged a brace for Belgium and would hope to carry his scoring form into the game.
