The 4-year-deal for Daley Blind is worth an initial fee of £14.1m, which could rise to £18.5m based on his performance.[spacer height=”30px”]
Blind was brought to United by Louis van Gaal in 2014 and has had a total of 90 league appearances for the Red Devils in his 4 years.[spacer height=”30px”]
The versatile Dutch defender used to start for the United’s squad during his time with van Gaal, but since Mourinho’s arrival, he has really been struggling for some main team action and had only featured in 7 league games in the last season.[spacer height=”30px”]
During his four years, Daley Blind made a total of 141 appearances and has won the League Cup, FA Cup, the Europa League and the Community Shield for Manchester United.[spacer height=”30px”]

[spacer height=”30px”]Letting Blind go was the best decision for him. With a few more new signings for United, Blind would have missed out on a lot of time on the pitch or even on the bench. Moving to Ajax will surely restore his former glory and he would be a vital player for them in a coming years.[spacer height=”30px”]
Daley Blind was a very resourceful player, with his flexibility to play as a defensive midfielder to a full back, he was quite versatile as a defender. But his time as a player started perishing as van Gaal made an exit, he was never under Mourinho’s spotlight, so letting him go wouldn’t have affected United’s future as such.[spacer height=”30px”]
