Unai Emery Reveals The Two Things He Wants To Achieve At Arsenal And We Couldn’t Agree More

Emery, Arsedevils

With the win against Newcastle United on Monday, Arsenal has matched their points tally of the previous season with seven games still to go. This alone is enough to show the kind of improvement  Unai Emery has achieved. The Gunners are flying high under the Spaniard.

Currently, in the third position, they look set to finish the season in the top four. Things were not like this and questions were raised after Wenger’s departure. But Unai Emery has answered most of them and brought back a smile on faces of everyone inside the Emirates.

But Emery has now revealed two things he wants to achieve at the Emirates. On being about the future hopes he said,

” I want to create one team with a big energy, being competitive each match, playing good football”

“After this, we are in the football to win some titles. “

For any Arsenal fan, these might be just golden words to hear. But certainly, Emery has changed the mood around the Emirates and has made them a team worthy of winning trophies.

Things were not looking good for Emery at the beginning but he has turned it around now and it is reflecting in their play on the games. Solid as a defence and threatening with the pace of Lacazette and Aubameyang in the attack.

But still, there are some lapses with the team struggling to maintain the consistency week in, week out. And Arsenal will have to be active in the transfer window with some high-profile departures set to happen; With the likes of Aaron Ramsey set to leave and possible rumours of Lichtsteiner and Xhaka set to part ways.

The Gunners are also set to appoint a new director of football at the club. With Monchi, a probable candidate choosing to join Sevilla it will be interesting to see who is named the next candidate.

With upcoming players like Alex Iwobi, the future of the club looks bright. However, there is a long way to go for Umai Emery to replicate what Arsene did for the club. Arsenal still is in competition for a trophy this season with the Europa League.

With points from some difficult matches such as against United surely tells that the team is capable of competing with the top clubs.

Arsenal surely has come out of the ‘under-achievers’ tag if there was any, with the team starting to get more comfortable under Emery. With the team’s performance improving everyday, the right reinforcements and the positive vibe in and around the club, the ‘Gunners’ will be surely in contention for top honours.

With the foundations laid by Unai Emery, the fans would be hoping for a return to former glory for the club under the Spanish manager.
