3-4-2-1 | Emery Makes Three Massive Changes As Ozil, Aubameyang And Lacazette Start Again : Here’s Arsenal’s Predicted Starting XI vs Everton

Arsenal vs Everton Predicted Lineup

Match Preview

Arsenal travel to Goodison Park to face Everton on Sunday with an intent to climb back up to third in the Premier League Table. The Gunners are just a point behind Tottenham, but with a game in hand, even a draw would take them to third.

Team News

Lucas Torreira is suspended following his red card against Tottenham and remains unavailable for selection. Aaron Ramsey, Granit Xhaka and Laurent Koscielny are suffering minor setbacks but should be available for selection. But Unai Emery might have the upcoming game against Napoli in mind and might rest them ahead of the all important European fixture.

Predicted Lineup For Everton vs Arsenal

Formation: 3-4-2-1

Predicted arsenal lineup vs Everton

GK:

Bernd Leno will start in goal. The German has kept three clean sheets in his last five and just won Arsenal’s Player of the Month. So he will start this one as well.

LCB:

Sokratis will start at left center back against Everton. He has been an important part of Arsenal’s defence this season and has been a very good summer addition to the squad.

CB:

Laurent Koscielny will start at center back for the Gunners. The club captain has had a bruised left foot the last couple of days but will hopefully recover in time.

RCB:

Shkodran Mustafi would be a good shout for this one. Monreal would ideally start but the fact that Arsenal have a huge game against Napoli coming up, Emery would rather have atleast one of his left backs resting.

LWB:

Only Andrew Robertson has more assists for defenders than Sead Kolasinac since Matchday Eight. That is how important Kolasinac is to Arsenal’s attack. So, he will surely start against Left Wing Back for the Gunners.

RWB:

Ainsley Maitland-Niles will start at right wing back in Hector Bellerin’s absence. This is one department in which Arsenal lack some depth in terms of quality. So Maitland-Niles is probably Arsenal’s only choice to play in this position.

DM:

Granit Xhaka has an issue with his left groin and will be assessed before the game. But the Swiss International will have to start somehow considering the suspension of Lucas Torreira. Partnering him, will be youngster Matteo Guendouzi who had an excellent start to the season but has faded since.

LAM:

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was rested in the last game, so he will surely start this one for the Gunners. The Premier League’s second highest scorer is just two behind Sergio Aguero and will look at this game as an excellent opportunity to score a few.

RAM:

Mesut Ozil is in good form and it is unlikely that Unai Emery would drop him while he is having this good run of games. So Ozil will start this one and maybe make way for Ramsey on Thursday against Napoli.

ST:

Alexandre Lacazette is probably one of Arsenal’s best players at the moment. The Frenchman has been a part of nine Premier League goals in 2019 alone and has been very lethal recently. And at Everton away, Arsenal will definitely need someone who will seize every opportunity in front of the goal.

Prediction For Everton vs Arsenal

Away games have been a very difficult task for Arsenal over the years. But this is a very important game for Arsenal and a win would take them two points clear off fourth placed Spurs. So, I believe Arsenal will manage a 1-2 victory.
