With United yet to find consistency on the pitch this season, the game against Everton provides the Red Devils with an opportunity to gain momentum over the busy period of fixtures. Expected to retain a similar line-up to the one that started against Omonia, Ten Hag is likely to employ a proactive approach in a bid to boost the team’s confidence moving forward.

Harry Maguire, Donny van de Beek and Aaron Wan-Bissaka remain out of contention for the game on Sunday whilst Raphael Varane faces a race with time, with the centre-back yet to gain full fitness ahead of the tie at Everton. Tyrell Malacia and Jadon Sancho will be hoping to retain their starting spot this Sunday, with both players having been substituted against Omonia on Thursday.
