According to reports in Holland, Feyenoord have expressed interest in signing Manchester United forward Tahith Chong in the ongoing summer transfer window. The Eredivisie club are looking forth to adding more depth and quality to their squad and have identified the right winger as a potential option.
Tahith Chong graduated from the youth system at Feyenoord. He joined United in 2016 after the Dutch side failed to include him in bigger plans. He made his professional debut in 2019 in an FA Cup game. He has featured in 16 games for the United senior team, acquiring 2 assists in the process.
However, the 22-year-old winger has gone without featuring in any competitive game for the Red Devils since 2020. Since then, the Dutchman went on loan spells to Werder Bremen in Germany and Club Brugge in Belgium.
Chong spent the 2021–22 season on loan at Championship side Birmingham City, where he impressed with the English side. But, the winger suffered a setback after injuries cut short his development. Overall, he has accumulated 30 goals and 32 assists in 131 games (stats via Transfermarkt) across all competitions, both senior and junior.
According to Dutch outlet 1908.nl (via Metro), Feyenoord have set their sights on Tahith Chong and are keen to prise him away from the Red Devils this summer. The report states the Dutch club have begun talks over a possible move for the talented youngster and are hoping to get his signature before kick-starting the new season.

Despite being a wide attacking player, the Netherlands Under-21 international has, at times, embodied the role of a central midfielder. It is believed that Feyenoord are preparing to hold talks with Tahith Chong to convince the player to re-sign for his boyhood club in the summer.
Furthermore, the 22-year-old does not seem to be a part of new boss Erik ten Hag’s plans. And adding to his contract situation at Manchester United, it is preferable and also likely for the club to sell the winger this summer. The Red Devils can then use the funds to offset the books.
