MASSIVE NEWS | German Wonder kid Scouted by Mislintat Puts Gunners On Red Alert With Major Transfer Update

Havertz, Arsedevils

Recently, there has been kind of a media frenzy regarding the future of this German wonderkid, Kai Havertz who as of now is contracted with Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen till 2022. Bavarian giants, Bayern Munich are a strong contender in the race to land up this 19 year old attacking midfielder.

Arsenal are also one of the other clubs linked with this German. It is natural that all the big clubs are after him, given the talent that he possess.

It was reported last summer that the club’s then head of recruitment, Sven Mislintat was eyeing moves for new additions to the squad. Havertz was one of the players that was linked in this speculation. That move never materialised.

However, knowing that Aaron Ramsey is leaving the club this summer gives a sense of urgency to find a suitable replacement. The Welshman, after more than a decade of association with the club will be moving to Juventus this summer. This is naturally going to create a huge void in the squad that is certainly going to take a lot of time to fill. And the obvious thing to do in this situation is to look for a strong and stable replacement.

Havertz is very well aware of all the interests from the big names in Europe in his profile. As reported in Eurosport recently, Havertz revealed that a decision on his future would be made soon this summer.

As said by Havertz in his own words,

“The media push it all up a bit and I know that I have a contract here and I want to do everything we can to put us in an international position at the end of the season.

There is a lot of speculation, but I still have a contract here until 2022. In the summer we know more.

I do not believe everything that’s in the paper, there’s a lot of talk in general, some things are true, some are not. I personally can handle the headlines well because I know what I want.”

If the decision that Havertz is going to take this summer favours Arsenal then the Gunners are in for a really good player backed up by some decent stats this season. In 27 appearances in Bundesliga this season, he has already racked up 10 goals and 4 assists under his belt.

This sounds even more impressive after considering the fact that Havertz is sitting only behind Gylfi Sigurdsson and Paul Pogba as one of the top goalscoring central midfielders in Europe’s top five leagues. He is primarily left footed but can use his right foot very well at the right moments.

What makes Havertz really stand out is his killer passes that displays his impressive vision and magnificent link-up play. What is naturally expected from a player playing in his position is the ability to go past defenders in one on one situations, and Havertz certainly has a knack for that. He is a great counter attacking threat and can change the momentum of a game rather quickly.

With all these being said, it is very clear that in Havertz, Gunners are not only getting a replacement for the departing Ramsey, but something even more than that. Havertz is just 19 and has his prime years ahead of him. In the right kind of environment he can certainly grow up to be one of the most sought after midfielders in Europe.

Havertz has all the qualities to excel in a competitive environment. And that is exactly what the Gunners can provide him. The prospect of playing in Premier League is certainly lucrative and if this move materialises, it is a win-win for both the parties.
