Unai Emery Urged To Sign These Three Brilliant Players For Arsenal This Summer Which Could Complete Change The Lineup Next Season

Most Arsenal players after retirement remain as Arsenal fans and Ian Wright is no different. And just like like fan, he also wants his club to make certain signings; specifically three.

The Emirates outfit reportedly have a meagre £40 million to spend this summer. But according to BBC Sport’s David Ornstein, that figure could significantly increase should the Gunners qualify for the Champions League one way or the other. Unai Emery can lead his side there by securing a victory over Chelsea in the Europa League final or a place can be handed to them if Manchester City face their rumoured ban due to their alleged FFP breaches.

The latter seems unlikely, but it is not impossible to outsmart Maurizio Sarri. This one match could decide Emery’s future at Arsenal as too many problems remain unresolved due to lack of quality players. With the Champions League money potentially coming in, a sum around £100 million could be in hand after offloading fringe players.

And Wright wants to resolve the hole left by the departure of Aaron Ramsey, the lack of security at left-back and the blatant absence of wingers. The former Arsenal top-scorer wishes his beloved club would address these issues by importing Ben Chilwell, Youri Tielemans and Nicolas Pepe.

“Someone like Ben Chilwell,” Wright told the Mirror. “He is the kind of left-back who is getting better with every game. He’s an England international now. Somebody that I’m sure is going to be sought after.”

Chilwell had a breakthrough season with Leicester City and has earned his deserved recognition with his recent exploits. Though his arrival shouldn’t be a bet as it is very unlikely. Leicester are smart enough to keep a hold of him.

“Then there is Youri Tielemans,” he added. “He came over from Monaco. He’s on loan at Leicester City and he’s someone that – well there are loads of teams linked with him – but he’s someone that you’d want to have.

“And Nicolas Pepe at Lille. That kind of winger with his intensity, pace and skill. Those are the kind of players that are definitely going to improve any team, if I’m totally honest.”

The Belgian international is yet another quality product imported from AS Monaco. Tielemans would be a great addition to the North London side, especially with Ramsey gone. Pepe on the other hand has involved himself in 35 goals despite playing for a humble side.

However, either players would be financially out of grasp. The Lille talisman is rumoured to be valued around £80 million and the Monaco loanee around £40 million. Signing just one of them would significantly deplete the transfer kitty even if Champions League funds are considered; simply because the Londoners have too many issues to fix to spend big on just one player.

No doubt that the Arsenal legend’s wishes would be the most ideal signings possible, but is it realistic? Far from it if one were to be perfectly honest.
