Inter Milan submit fresh bid for Shkodran Mustafi

According to football Italia and Sky Italia, Inter Milan have submitted a fresh bid for a loan deal with an option to buy for Shkodran Mustafi.

Previously it had been reported by Sky Sports Italia that Mustafi had informed Arsenal about his desire to join Inter Milan.

Now reports are emerging from Italy about the news of Inter Milan lodging a fresh bid with a loan fee of €5m to take Shkodran Mustafi for the 2017-18 season.

The report also states that Inter have inserted an option in their proposal to buy Mustafi at the end of the season for  €25m .

The clause will be triggered if the German international plays over 50% of their league games during the campaign.

The Gunners are apparently willing to let Mustafi go less than 12 months after paying £35m to Valencia only last season.

Wenger has also already hinted that he may be open to the idea of selling the German centre back this window saying :

“It is difficult for me to speak about any individual cases. Because we are now in the final seven days of the transfer market and it is always very difficult to predict what will happen there. “And you have to make quick and sharp decisions and you cannot plan that and come out in a press conference with how you will respond to any solicitation.”

For now it seems Arsenal are actually entertaining the idea of letting the German Centre back leave while they wait on West Brom’s response after submitting an initial enquiry for former Manchester United centre back Jonny Evans.

Just like Arsenal were interested in trying to sign him last summer before settling for Mustafi, this season they again seem intent in trying to land the Northern Ireland centre back before allowing Mustafi to leave after just a season.

In my opinion the 29 year old is clearly an downgrade on the German Internation present in our ranks.

A tough tackling centre back who dosent shy away from challenges, Mustafi clearly doesnt scare easily and even took Arsenal on an unbeaten streak of 20 games+ last season with him on the team.

Jonny evans may well be an descent signing but not one to excite too many when it comes at the expense of Skodran Mustafi.

Keep watching this space for fresh updates during this 48 hours of the window.

Till the next update

Come on you Gooners !!!
