Paul Pogba and Manchester United crisis!!!

Paul Pogba has endured difficult times at Old Trafford. It is an undeniable fact that replacing a player of a stature like Paul Pogba is difficult. The Frenchman was directly involved in 25 goals and has 15 goals to his tally in the Premier League 2018-19.

Paul Pogba is a unique player. He has a fantastic work rate and excellent ball striking capabilities. Paul Pogba marshals the team from the center of the park. Even though there are many players with similar goals-assists tally also there are many exquisite playmakers around, it is difficult to find a single player with both capabilities.

However, the modern day problem requires a modern-day solution. Manchester United can find the replacement for Paul Pogba in the talented Portuguese midfielder, Bruno Fernandes. The Portuguese midfielder has racked up 20 goals and 12 assists in 32 appearances for Sporting CP. Under the tutelage of Marcel Keizer, Bruno Fernandes has flourished and performed exceedingly well. The player can play in the center of the park as well.

On the other hand, Manchester United have registered their interest in signing the 24-year-old talented midfielder. With Paul Pogba unhappy and United’s inability to snatch the players from the rivals interest, Ed Woodward can only look for alternatives. Here are the three options for Manchester United whom they can sign in place of Bruno Fernandes to replace Paul Pogba:

#1) James Maddison (Leicester City)

According to reliable sports outlets, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants to build his team around the top English talents available in and around Europe. If it is the matter of talented English midfielders, James Maddison is a frontrunner.

Leicester City signed the talented midfielder from Norwich City for a reported fee of around €25 million. The player has a similar role in Leicester City to that of Paul Pogba at Old Trafford. Coming through the ranks of Coventry City and Norwich City, James Maddison can play in central midfield, attacking midfield and even on the left wing. He has seven goals and seven assists in the Premier League 2018-19.

The mercurial and agile midfielder stands fourth in Europe in terms of creating chances and key passes. He has 2.8 key passes per game and a pass percentage of 83.8%. No midfielder in the Premier League has more key passes than James Maddison.

Maddison can play out tight situations and create chances for the team. He can fit into both possession based and counter-attacking style of play. Although the player has not made his international debut, his skill, creativity and an eye for a goal can make him a world-class player.

#2) Ryan Fraser (AFC Bournemouth)

If Manchester United fail to sign James Maddison or Youri Tielemans from Leicester City, then Ed Woodward should look out for the talented Scottish midfielder, Ryan Fraser of AFC Bournemouth.

Coming through the youth ranks of Aberdeen FC, AFC Bournemouth bought Fraser for a fee of €480000 in 2013-14. Since the transfer, the player has not looked back and has performed his best for the club. Fast forward to 2018-19, Ryan Fraser has 14 assists which is one less than that of Eden Hazard and one more than Lionel Messi. Also, Fraser has seven goals to his tally in Premier League 2018-19.

Ryan Fraser likes to play on the flanks of the attack but can play in the middle of the park. The Scottish midfielder can easily draft into any formation and make an impact for the club.

The midfielder makes the classical runs into the box and loves to swing the ball into the box. Ryan Fraser is an aggressive player and puts his heart on the sleeves for the club which directly resemble the greats of Red Devils. Fraser is still 25 and is much closer to hit the peak of his career. The club can bring in Ryan Fraser for a relatively lower price who has the hunger for the glory and passion for the club.

After a disastrous climax of the last season, the fans eagerly wait for Solskjaer to prove his worth as the Red Devils seemed to have lost the mojo after the Norwegian was named the permanent manager. A desperate revival could be on the cards.
