According to reports, Juventus are being touted as the front-runners to sign Paul Pogba this summer as the Italian club aim to join the fight for the Serie A title next season, having finished on fourth-place for the last 2 seasons. The Frenchman has decided to leave Old Trafford, ending a six-year stint after rejoining the club in 2016.
Pogba had four great years in Turin, scoring 34 goals and 40 assists in 178 games (stats via Transfermarkt). Turin is where Pogba developed into a world-class player and went on to win four Serie A titles in four seasons. He has also won the World Cup with France in 2018.
However, since his transfer from the Serie A club for a world record fee of €110m (£93.2m), he has struggled to make the desired impact at Manchester United. His recent form has even created a sense of dissatisfaction among fans in particular. Last summer, the Red Devils were reported to have offered him a new deal. But it was apparently rejected and since then, the club have not been back with another offer.
Pogba’s inconsistent performances has found him scoring 39 goals and assisting 51 times in 233 appearances for United across all competitions (stats via Transfermarkt). He has only won the League Cup and the Europa League during his six-season stint at Old Trafford.
According to Daily Mail, Juventus are ready to offer Paul Pogba around £30million for a three-year-deal. The deal includes around £10m-a-year salary, plus a bonus package which makes it a super deal, even if the basic salary is not that high. Although both parties are yet to reach an agreement, the Old Lady hope that a deal can be finalised soon.

Meanwhile, Paris Saint-Germain are preparing a mega final offer for the Frenchman, which could tempt him to return to his home country. A last-ditch attempt by the French champions can snatch the 29-year-old midfielder from under the Italian club’s noses.
Pogba had also received an offer from United’s rivals Manchester City, but the player seems to be interested in a move away from England. German giants Bayern Munich are also said to be interested in the player’s services. However, the Bundesliga champions will find it difficult to meet Pogba’s lavish demands, especially with the German club’s rigid wage structure policy.
Paul Pogba would be a huge star and the main man in the Juventus midfield. Dusan Vlahovic joined from Fiorentina for £62m in January while Paulo Dybala and Giorgio Chiellini are both set to leave the club this summer. Juve see the Frenchman as one of the best midfielders in world football and want to build their team around him.
If this transfer goes through, then it will definitely be the talk of this transfer window, especially with Kylian Mbappe deciding to stay at PSG after signing a new contract. But at the moment Juventus will not be able to make a formal offer to Paul Pogba until the end of the season.
Moreover, his potential move to the Turin club seems rather difficult at the moment, given the loss of his agent, Mino Raiola. The 29-year-old midfielder will likewise check all options before committing his future with the Bianconeri.

Juventus have previously signed Paul Pogba on a free transfer from United when he was still developing into a world-class midfielder. It would be a sensational return for the France international who enjoyed his first spell at Juventus in Italy. It is remarkable that even after six mixed years at United, Europe’s elite are all keen on him.
Pogba has dreamed of a move to Real Madrid but the Spanish giants have other priority areas to improve. It would seem that the Old Lady are keener than PSG. There could still be a late twist in the tale, however, as the Red Devils midfielder is supposedly keen to meet up and talk with incoming boss Erik ten Hag.
