Manchester United legend slams the attitude of United Players Because Of This Reason

Manchester United have made their worst start to the Premier League campaign in almost 29 years. Misery piled up when United were held to a dire and lifeless 0-0 draw against Valencia in the recent Champions League fixture. English giants have now caught in a whirlwind of hardship as it stands winless in four games.

Earlier former club legend Paul Scholes took a dig at club manager Mourinho saying, ‘his mouth is out of control and he is embarrassing the club’.

Another former great Roy Keane has now lashed out at United players labeling them as cry babies as he was talking to Notts TV. Keane was asked about the ongoing rift between Pogba and Mourinho at the club which has led to a major fallout between the two. What followed was an incredible rant from the Red Devils legend where he urged the players to play for the badge on the front rather than their names on the back.

“We talk about footballers and managers, not every player is going to get along with their manager and the manager is not going to like every player.

But what you do as a footballer, and whatever disagreements I’ve had with one or two managers, the moment you cross that line you play for the team.

I don’t care what fallout you’ve had with your manager, I don’t care if you’ve been at each other’s throats, because that is part of the industry, people do fall out, it happens in other industries as well.

Unfortunately when you’re Man United, one of the biggest clubs in the world, things will get exaggerated.

And if you’re a footballer for Manchester United, you put that jersey on, you walk out and if you don’t give your 100 percent because you might be upset with somebody then good luck to Mourinho with his job.”

Upon being asked if he was taking a certain aim at Paul Pogba and his antics, he replied,

[perfectpullquote align=”full” bordertop=”false” cite=”” link=”” color=”” class=”” size=””]

“I’m not talking about Pogba specifically. I’m talking about all the players in general who get upset with their manager or the coaching staff and think I’m not going to train properly because somebody upset me.

There are a lot of cry babies out there.

When you walk out on the pitch you’re playing for your pride, you’re playing for your family, you’re playing for your city, whatever it might be.

Don’t get too worried about what the manager’s said about you, or the coaching staff did. You get out there and play your best.

You can follow it all up after the match but when its about the game, play with pride, play with all your energy and spirit.

Hopefully play with a bit of skill. And on your bad days you roll your sleeves up and fight for that jersey. Don’t get distracted by the balloons out there”

Roy Keane is not wrong on what he said about the current scenario at United and the attitude of it’s players in general. Coming from a person who was known to wear his heart on sleeves while on the pitch, it’s really dampening to see the situation United currently are in. With only 7 games into the season united are 9 points adrift from the top of the table. The situation doesn’t seem to get better for united because somehow it’s more about the clash of egos in the club hierarchy than their performances on the pitch.

Next up United play Newcastle United in the Premier League clash. The odds will be on united to go ahead and win the match easily but if the result doesn’t go their way the situation is bound to get worse.
