4-3-3 Paul Pogba Decision Revealed | Strongest Possible United Starting XI For United vs West Ham

West Ham,Arsedevils

Manchester United take on West Ham in the Premier League on Saturday at the London Stadium. After a week of chaos and drama both on and off the field, United travel to east to take on Pellegrini’s West Ham.

West Ham have improved their form recently, after a poor start to their and this fixture could prove to be tricky for United at the moment. With the Pogba-Mourinho not seeming to end anytime soon, this fixture could prove substantial , if United want to make something out of this season. The midweek cup exit to Derby County and the home draw with Wolves which preceding it have heaped more pressure on Mourinho.

Provisional Squad against West Ham United

Goalkeepers: De Gea, Segio Romero, Lee Grant

Defenders: Matteo Darmian, Phil Jones, Victor Lindelof, Chris Smalling , Marcus Rojo, Luke Shaw, Ashley Young

Midfielders: Fred, Andrieas Pereira , McTominay , Ander Herrera , Paul Pogba, Juan Mata

Attackers: Anthony Martial , Jesse Lingard ,Marcus Rashford ,Alexis Sanchez , Romelu Lukaku

Team News:

Jose Mourinho has a fully fit squad to face West Ham United. Marcos Rojo is the only injury doubtful not expected to be available for selection against Burnley.

Phil Jones played his first game against Derby in midweek, after his hamstring injury earlier, while Ander Herrera played 63 minutes in his return from injury after three weeks out. Marcus Rashford and Nemanja Matic are back for selection after serving their suspensions. Sergio Romero is suspended after his Red card incident against Derby, becoming the third player to be sent off in 5 games for United.

Predicted Line-up Against West Ham:

Jose is likely to field his tried and tested 4-3-3 formation, despite having experimented with a 3-5-2 formation earlier this season.

Goalkeeper: David de Gea

David de Gea will be the undisputed starter for United in goal against West Ham.

Defense: Antonio Valencia , Chris Smalling, Victor Lindelof, Luke Shaw

Valencia is likely to keep his place, despite new signing Diogo Dalot putting in another impressive performance against Derby. It’s not long before Jose begins to field the Portuguese youngster for League games.

Smalling and Lindelof are likely to continue against West Ham, after an excellent run of games together and forming an excellent partnership at the back. Luke Shaw has been indispensable this season and is expected to start in the left-back position.

Midfield: Paul Pogba, Nemanja Matic, Fred

The biggest question among the United Fans would be whether Paul Pogba would be included or not in the matchday squad against West Ham. The Frenchman having been told by Mourinho that he will never captain the club again, there are some doubts now whether he will line up on Saturday.

Despite their feud, Mourinho would want to get back to winning ways and is expected to call upon the Frenchman , with Matic at the base of the midfield and Fred, Pogba on either side of him.

Forwards: Jesse Lingard , Romelu Lukaku, Alexis Sanchez

The Chilean’s struggles don’t seem to end, he simply hasn’t been able to live up to the expectations after moving to Old Trafford, and is under threat from Anthony Martial who has put in some decent performance against Derby and Young Boys.

Lukaku is expected to lead the line, despite not being clinical enough in the last few games. Lingard is expected to start on the right side of the front three against West Ham, The Englishman has failed to make an impact since his return after the World Cup, but it won’t be long before Mourinho could look elsewhere for creativity.

After a dreadful draw against Wolves, Manchester United will look to put back the Pogba-Mourinho fiasco and get back to winning ways against West Ham but with The Hammers on song with their high scoring victory against Maccesfied in Carabao Cup, it will be an enticing game to watch.
